Week 16 Review: Beautiful Chaos

From Goodreads:
Ethan Wate thought he was getting used to the strange, impossible events happening in Gatlin, his small Southern town. But now that Ethan and Lena have returned home, strange and impossible have taken on new meanings. Swarms of locusts, record-breaking heat, and devastating storms ravage Gatlin as Ethan and Lena struggle to understand the impact of Lena's Claiming. Even Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals is affected - and their abilities begin to dangerously misfire. As time passes, one question becomes clear: What - or who - will need to be sacrificed to save Gatlin?
For Ethan, the chaos is a frightening but welcome distraction. He's being haunted in his dreams again, but this time it isn't by Lena - and whatever is haunting him is following him out of his dreams and into his everyday life. Even worse, Ethan is gradually losing pieces of himself - forgetting names, phone numbers, even memories. He doesn't know why, and most days he's too afraid to ask.
Sometimes there isn't just one answer or one choice. Sometimes there's no going back. And this time there won't be a happy ending.
My first review of Beautiful Chaos
My Review:
So knowing what was going on, having read this book before, was really great, because there were all these clues that were totally unclear that the characters had, but knowing how it ended up, well, they all made sense, and it was great reading it like that!

So it seems that these characters just can't catch a break. They do win in the end, after Beautiful Redemption (well, now Link and Ridley are back in the fray with the spin off series!) but in this book, it doesn't seem like they'd get that. And that's so awesome, to torment the characters like that!

So between John Breed, Liv, his Great Aunt Prue, and the forgetting stuff, Ethan has a lot on his plate. And he deals pretty well, because this book takes place over the course of about a season like the previous ones, so that worked out well, what with the world appearing to end, and no snow in winter!

Knowing how it'd end, and then reading it again, well, two different things. So that was a bit hard to do (well, not really) but I just had to read faster, so I would be done, and then I wouldn't have to drag this 500 page tome around anymore!

Really fantastic book, so great, and now I really need to read Beautiful Redemption!
