Week 46 Review: The Rose Society

From Goodreads:
Once upon a time, a girl had a father, a prince, a society of friends. Then they betrayed her, and she destroyed them all.

Adelina Amouteru's heart has suffered at the hands of both family and friends, turning her down the bitter path of revenge. Now known and feared as the White Wolf, she flees Kenettra with her sister to find other Young Elites in the hopes of building her own army of allies. Her goal: to strike down the Inquisition Axis, the white-cloaked soldiers who nearly killed her.

But Adelina is no heroine. Her powers, fed only by fear and hate, have started to grow beyond her control. She does not trust her newfound Elite friends. Teren Santoro, leader of the Inquisition, wants her dead. And her former friends, Raffaele and the Dagger Society, want to stop her thirst for vengeance. Adelina struggles to cling to the good within her. But how can someone be good when her very existence depends on darkness?

Bestselling author Marie Lu delivers another heart-pounding adventure in this exhilarating sequel to The Young Elites.

My Review:
Yeah, I finally read this book! But at the same time, I'm kinda glad that I procrastinated reading this book-because now The Midnight Star has come out, and I don't have to wait a long time to read it, I can just dive in and finish this series, so yeah, that's great! Especially with how things ended with this book!

In this book, Adelina was darker. That's understandable, and there were a few other things that were going on that we found out. But her plan to take the throne and get her vengeance, was fierce and while bad, kinda admirable, you know? It was bad, but it was revenge!

The thing with Enzo, yeah that was a really fantastic part, because his death was hard! And the events surrounding it, that she was kicked out of the Daggers and all that. I've kinda forgotten all that happened, but when Enzo found out the full truth, yeah, that wasn't fun!

There was a new interest for Adelina, one who was better for her than Enzo, in my opinion. But then things with Enzo made things all complicated. Oh, and there's the thing where they're the children of the gods, but they aren't gods, so their powers are going to kill them. Yeah.

This book was just utterly fantastic, and I can't wait to read The Midnight Star and see how things are going to end!
