From Goodreads:
Scene from SWEET PERIL from Kaidan Rowe's point of view!!! (spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn't read book 2...) Ever wondered what Kaidan thought about the make-out session against the stacked washer and dryer in his hall? Or what happened when he and Kope traveled to Syria together? Time to find out.
This scene is written in Kaidan's stream of consciousness, and it spans parts of chapters 17-20.
From Goodreads:
Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself shed never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She'd been naive to make such a vow. She'd been naive about a lot of things.
Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school's party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there's Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.
When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life
From Goodreads:
It's time.
Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.
The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna's great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she's prepared to risk.
In the most sensual and fast-paced instalment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.
My first review of Sweet Peril
My Review:
What a great series, and an end of the series! I just loved it, and I just had to keep turning the pages until these books were done, because I wanted to know how it was going to turn out, even if I remembered a bit from Peril! So good, and yeah, I really enjoyed reading them!
Peril was the book where Anna deals with the fact that she is half demon, and lives with it, having to work-and I wonder about the drink she made, dirty kisses, and whether or not it's an actual drink because it sounds tasty!
Reckoning was the book where Anna, Kai, their friend and allies, get to fight back! Yeah, there was a pretty intense fight scene where the 2 sons try and kidnap Anna, but Kope knocks them out, yeah, that was a hard scene to read, because it wasn't very good for Anna!
Yeah! They got married! Such an awesome way around the whole "Kai's dad can smell virginity innocence" thing, because being with your spouse in marriage, that meant that she was still pure of heart, and yeah, that was really quite clever, and sweet, and sqeee exciting!!
I absolutely loved these books, and they are just a fantastic series, and I know I'll reread them again!
