From Goodreads:
Harry Potter, along with his best friends, Ron and Hermione, is about to start his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry can't wait to get back to school after the summer holidays. (Who wouldn't if they lived with the horrible Dursleys?) But when Harry gets to Hogwarts, the atmosphere is tense. There's an escaped mass murderer on the loose, and the sinister prison guards of Azkaban have been called in to guard the school...
From Goodreads:
It is the summer holidays and soon Harry Potter will be starting his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry is counting the days: there are new spells to be learnt, more Quidditch to be played, and Hogwarts castle to continue exploring. But Harry needs to be careful - there are unexpected dangers lurking ...
My Review:
Yeah! Go, Harry Potter! Harry faces a number of things in this book, like meeting his father's friends, the dementors, and the 3 challenges in the Tri-Wizard Tournament! The synopsis of Goblet of Fire is misleading, because there was no Quidditch because of the tournament. Ah, well!
The summer before his 3rd year was going OK until Aunt Marge. If she hadn't come, or waited till school started, then Harry wouldn't have had to run away, and maybe have gotten his permission slip signed. Nothing we can do about it now!
Sirius, even though he's kinda a dare devil, especially later on in the series, is one of my favourite characters. Lupin, even more so. It sucks, knowing their futures, but I really enjoyed getting to know them again!
The tournament, and that entailed was a lot of effort! We had bits and clues about what Voldemort was planning, but they didn't seem to connect. And then the ending happened that was just so horrible, and changed the world forever, even if they didn't want to believe it!
Such wonderful, amazing books, and I can't wait to reread the rest of the series!
