Week 44 Review: Christmas in Silver Springs

From Goodreads:
Come home to Silver Springs for the holidays, where broken hearts learn to love again...together.

So much for forever. When Harper Devlin's rock star husband ditches her on his way to the top, she takes her two daughters to her sister's place in Silver Springs for the holidays, hoping family can heal her broken heart. But comfort comes in unexpected places when she crosses paths with local Tobias Richardson.

The moment Tobias spots Harper, he recognizes a sadness he knows all too well. After spending thirteen years in prison paying for his regretful past, Tobias is ready to make amends, and maybe helping Harper is the way to do it. But offering her a shoulder to cry on ignites a powerful attraction and a desire neither saw coming.

Fearing her reaction, Tobias doesn't reveal his checkered past. He's falling hard, and if Harper finds out, he'll lose her for good, especially because her famous ex is now trying to win her back. Secrets have a way of coming out, but maybe this Christmas will bring Tobias the forgiveness--and the love--he deserves.

My Review:
This book was so great to read! This series is so sweet, and I really enjoyed Tobias and Harper's relationship! There was all the drama of her broken marriage, to save it or to let it go, and there's his past, though of course it's a bombshell just waiting to happen!

The fact that this book takes place in December leading up to Christmas, well, there's this festiveness in the air, though Harper is having a hard time feeling it. But even as she's conflicted, she does move past that, and it was great to watch her go on that journey!

Harper has a difficult choice. Stay with her becoming ex-husband, father of her children, or move on. There's the question of if she can trust her ex to not cheat on her again, to really value her and not let fame cloud his judgement. So that's difficult to deal with.

Oh, and there's also Uriah's son, Carl, in the picture. Boy, did he cause trouble! I knew he was up to know good, everyone did, it was just waiting to see just how bad he would go. When it started to happen, it was quite, but I knew vaguely what was coming, and it didn't disappoint! So great to read!

Really enjoyed this book, it was another great time in Silver Springs!
