Follow Friday #146, August 22nd

Q: What book/series do you think would make a better TV show than a movie?

A: Either City of Bones, or Beautiful Creatures. Both movies are based off pretty popular books, that I enjoyed, but the movies didn't do as well. So having them on TV, to expand on everything, that would be great!

    I did enjoy both movies, but t.v. shows just have so much more time to explore all of these series' worlds. Also, I see you're reading Shadow's Claim! It's awesome. I hope you're enjoying it :)

    I didn't like the way either movie was done. I feel like not enough was explained in either. Two great picks. I agree, having it as a TV show would have helped it expand things out and get everything that needed to be explained, done.

    I haven't read either of the series but I saw The City of Bones. It was an okay movie but I agree with you, it would have probably made even better TV show.

    I would love Beautiful Creatures to be a TV series, it was way too much for a two hour movie and definitely fell short

    I was disappointed by the City of Bones film as well but really enjoyed Beautiful Creatures, although I think that both have the potential to be great TV series. I would also like to see Infernal Devices made.

    Hi, I'm a new GFC follower and it's my first time participating in FF. I think the Mortal Instruments would make a great TV show and has the potential to be as popular as things like Buffy.
