Week 18 Review: Frostfire

From Goodreads:
Bryn Aven is an outcast among the Kanin, the most powerful of the troll tribes.

Set apart by her heritage and her past, Bryn is a tracker who's determined to become a respected part of her world. She has just one goal: become a member of the elite King's Guard to protect the royal family. She's not going to let anything stand in her way, not even a forbidden romance with her boss Ridley Dresden.

But all her plans for the future are put on hold when Konstantin– a fallen hero she once loved – begins kidnapping changelings. Bryn is sent in to help stop him, but will she lose her heart in the process?

My Review:
It was really awesome to be in the troll world! And we got a brief look at Wendy and Loki, which was really great! This book was just awesome! My only complaint, which is negated somewhat, is that it was too short! But there's more books since it's a series, so we are getting more!

We learn a lot more about trolls in this book. Because where as Wendy was new to this world, Bryn's been in it her entire life, so has that knowledge. And of course this book deals with different stuff then what the previous trilogy did!

For some reason, I thought that this series would star Finn's sister. Instead, it stars a best friend of Finn's sister. And because of that, we get to see Finn, and he brings up a good point of separation, elitism, with the King's Guard. Then there's the outdated and awful, but needed for the economy, practise of changelings! I think politics is a pretty big side issue in this series!

So Konstantin, he's something of a mystery. He tried to kill Bryn's dad, and then he's watching over/kidnapping the highest succession of changelings in line for the throne. And then he's maybe working for/with though the for is more likely, the guy that killed Ridley's dad. Yeah.

Really fantastic book, really great to read, and now I need to wait just a little while, and then the next book comes out, yeah!
