Week 20 Review: The Sandcastle Empire

From Goodreads:
Before the war, Eden's life was easy. Then the revolution happened, and everything changed.

Now a powerful group called the Wolfpack controls the earth and its resources. And even though Eden has lost everything to them, she refuses to die by their hands. She knows the coordinates to the only neutral ground left in the world, a place called Sanctuary Island, and she is desperate to escape to its shores.

Eden finally reaches the island and meets others resistant to the Wolves. But the solace is short-lived when one of Eden's new friends goes missing. Braving the jungle in search of their lost ally, they quickly discover Sanctuary is filled with lethal traps and an enemy they never expected.

This island might be deadlier than the world Eden left behind, but surviving it is the only thing that stands between her and freedom.

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book to read! This dystopian world with the Wolves taking over the world after the water levels rise and only the rich were going to able to afford to live in a guaranteed future in a habitat, yeah, it was pretty interesting!

Sanctuary was an interesting place to be. They didn't original see it, and there's all sorts of weird things going on, like poison ivy like moss, and vines that cause hallucinations. It was all very odd and just a little bit scary!

There was a lot of adventure, because basically the island is a booby trap, and I really enjoyed watching her go on journey with people who she slowly gets to know, and who she doesn't really trust at the beginning. Which was really great, because there's some secrets that she finds out that were pretty important to what was going on!

My one question is, what happened to her mom? There were little hints that something happened, throughout the story, and I thought were were going to get it in one of the flashbacks, but we didn't. So now I'm wondering, what happened there! Oh, no, I have another question-when they made those characters holo wolves, did they wake Eden up before or after they'd done the procedure? But that's not such a burning question as the first one.

This book was a fantastic read, I really enjoyed it, it was thoroughly entertaining!
