What does it mean when your school is voted the most dangerous in America? It's time to kick some hellion butt...
After not really surviving her junior year (does "undead" count as survival?), Kaylee Cavanaugh has vowed to take back her school from the hellions causing all the trouble. She's going to find a way to turn the incarnations of Avarice, Envy and Vanity against one another in order to protect her friends and finish this war, once and forever.
But then she meets Wrath and understands that she's closer to the edge than she's ever been. And when one more person close to her is taken, Kaylee realizes she can't save everyone she loves without risking everything she has...
My Review:
Wow, what an ending! And a totally smart one! I enjoyed it so freaking much, it was so good! Totally unexpected, and it left a funny feeling, but yeah, this ending, was just awesome for this book, while most of them were a mix of action and using smarts, this was just following through on like, the ultimate smart plan!
To have your school voted most dangerous, well, it's warranted, how many people have died in it, or who have died connected to it, including teachers and students? Like, it feels like about at least 1/8th of the population of the people that occupy time there!
That she made the deal with Wrath, and then with the bad guys, was very hard. She knew what was coming. But she was really clever, and with some help, she made up the best plan, to getting all the souls back, and not having the badness of that time in her memory, and then having the bad guys away from her and everyone around her! Yeah!
I would really like it if we got a novella, one that let us see what they were doing in those four years, when they thought Kaylee was dead and gone, what her dad was doing (because he let go of his bit of his wife's soul, and got his bit back) or Tod going after Thane, because I just want a bit more time in this world with these characters!
So good, such a great ending, and I will always think fondly of this book! So great!
