Professor Gabriel Emerson has embarked on a passionate, yet clandestine affair with his former student, Julia Mitchell. Sequestered on a romantic holiday in Italy, he tutors her in the sensual delights of the body and the raptures of sex. But when they return, their happiness is threatened by conspiring students, academic politics, and a jealous ex-lover. When Gabriel is confronted by the university administration, will he succumb to Dante's fate? Or will he fight to keep Julia, his Beatrice, forever? In Gabriel's Rapture, the brilliant sequel to the wildly successful debut novel, Gabriel's Inferno, Sylvain Reynard weaves an exquisite love story that will touch the reader's mind, body, and soul, forever.
My Review:
Oh, yeah! I loved reading this book, especially so soon after reading Gabriel's Inferno! This book was so good, such a great sequel, and I just enjoyed reading it! It was great to spend more time with Gabriel, Julia, and all the others some more!
So there's a lot of heartbreak in this book. There's conflict, as there always is in good books. And it was just so much fun to read it! There was just so much going on, and it was just so great! Just enjoyed it so much!
There is the question of his dad, and the whole situation there, which is probably a history thing that's about to be brought to the surface. Which is something that didn't happen in this book, so yeah, 3rd book material!
So one thing that I'm conflicted over, is that there's going to be a 3rd book. Because this book ended so well, with a wedding, and them moving on with their lives, happy and in love. So I don't know why there's a 3rd book beyond the above, but oh, well, more time with them!
So fantastic, and now I can't wait for the 3rd book, I want to see why there is one!
