All her life, Evalle has been straddling the line between human and demon. Curious about her origins, but content to live in the shadows, she finds that anonymity threatened by escalating conflicts between species. Accused of a savage murder, she's forced center stage in what seems like the beginning of an Atlanta apocalypse. Before long though, her personal problems will submerge as she learns startling facts about a hoard of supernatural terrorists.
My Review:
Yeah, I loved this book so much! I've read the short story, but it doesn't star Evalle, and it was just written by Dianna Love. I really enjoyed that short story, and since this was written by both Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love, I just had to check it out! And I loved it so much!
There was a lot going on in this book! From her job with VIPER, and the very unlike-able Sen, and all the rules there, and then the murder that could've been committed by Evalle, simply because of her species, yeah, that wasn't very fair, their justice system is guilty until proven innocent!
I just loved reading about these characters, from Evalle, who has everything pretty much messed up, to her two close friends who survived a pretty horrible incident together, who have some pretty important things going on in their own lives, to Feenix, the creature that Evalle rescued, who was just so darned cute!
So Evalle saves the world. Took a lot of working together, and a lot of people, but in the end, it was Evalle that did the majority of it, and that's with everything that was going on! I just loved being in this world with all of this!
Such a fantastic book, I enjoyed it so much, and I can't wait to read more of this series!
