Week 45 Review: New York to Dallas

From Goodreads:
The number-one New York Times-bestselling author J. D. Robb presents an intense and terrifying new case for New York homicide cop Eve Dallas, one that will take her all the way to the city that gave her her name-and plunge her into the nightmares of her childhood.

When a monster named Isaac McQueen-taken down by Eve back in her uniform days-escapes from Rikers, he has two things in mind. One is to pick up where he left off, abducting young victims and leaving them scarred in both mind and body. The other is to get revenge on the woman who stopped him all those years ago.

My Review:
We learn a lot about Eve in this book. She grows stronger, too, and we met someone who was pivotal in Eve's life, if only for a little while in comparison to the rest of it, and her role. And this was just an amazing book!

This book I think, is almost a 0.5 in the series, an in-between book, and if it had been way smaller, it would've been a novella. I'm pretty sure of this, because the series is currently 50 books in, or something, and this is #33. That came out this year. So yeah, more of a middle book, an aside from the series then an actual part of the series. But I just think this. I could be totally wrong!

Really enjoyed having Eve face her past, again, and a few other things, that made her stronger, wiser, and more of a police officer. She grew, and it was good for her.

I really loved this book, so go check it out when you can!
