The Alaskan wilderness is a harsh landscape in the best of conditions, but with a pack of rogue werewolves on the loose, it’s downright deadly.
Elena Michaels, the Pack’s chief enforcer, knows all too well the havoc “mutts” can wreak. When they hear of a series of gruesome maulings and murders outside Anchorage, she and her husband, Clay, journey to Alaska in the dead of winter in order to hunt down the dangerous werewolves. Trapped in this savage, untamed winter realm, she and Clay learn more about their own werewolf heritage than they bargained for, tapping a little more into the wild nature of the beast within.
My Review:
Elena;s the narrator again! And the werewolf world, or at least the animal shapeshifter world, just got a bit bigger! Yeah, this was a really great, awesome book! So good, and yeah, while I'm sad that that this is the last full length book that we'll get narrated by Elean, well, we do get 4, so I shouldn't be greedy! And let her have a bit of a break!
The phone call to her kids, that was just so cute! And the little side notes, and just everything that was gone on, yeah, it was just so cute, and Jeremy wanting them back so they can help manage those two cuties but troublemakers, yeah.
So this book grows the pack, which needs it, because besides the twins, who were born, not added, and they can't shift yet, so they don't count totally, and Karl, who's only a member in all but actually being there, yeah, this book grows the pack, and I enjoyed that!
Between the mystery, and all these characters, that was a bit confusing, all of that was going on, yeah, then there was also the new creatures, that maybe the bridge between werewolves and either wolves, or something else entirely, or something else, yeah, they were really interesting!
I just loved rereading this book, and I'm getting closer to the end of the series!
