Samantha Madison is an average, cool Washington, D.C., teen: She loves Gwen Stefani (who doesn't?), can draw like nobody's business, and enjoys being opposite to her sister's annoying ultra-social personality. My Review:
Such a great, awesome book! But of course it is, since it's a Meg Cabot book! I just really enjoyed rereading this book, being in this world again! And I wouldn't mind a 3rd book in this series, though that's unlikely, seeing that it's been about 10 years since this came out!
So saving the president's life because you skipped an art drawing class, yeah, it doesn't really sound like real life. But there is a chance that it could happen, and thus, this story! Just loved reading about Sam, and her family-like that they had to change the name of their dog because it was too close to "no."
Loved that Sam thought she was in love with Lucy's boyfriend, Jack, but that she was experiencing "frisson" for David. And I knew how it was going to end, but I just enjoyed watching their relationship bloom-like the bit of the house that has the First Kid's names carved, and David puts Sam's name it, that was just so cute!
There were some really great moments in this book, with these characters, and I just liked reading about them, as Sam realizes that some of what she thought was wrong, and as she grows up and deals with all this stuff, it's great! And the art lessons aren't so bad!
Yeah, this was a really great, fantastic book, and I really loved rereading it!
