Week 24 Reviews: The Merlin Prophecy, Homecoming, Hunter's Moon

From Goodreads:
Being a new student at Avalon High has been exciting for Ellie, to say the least--she's an honor student, a star on the track team, and, oh yeah, dating the super-hot class president, Will. Who also happens to be the alleged reincarnation of King Arthur.

Ellie couldn't be happier to have Will in her life, but she's also worried that his estrangement from his parents is tearing him apart. To make matters worse, Will's doubt that he really is King Arthur could prevent the Merlin Prophecy--an age of enlightenment--from occurring. Can Ellie convince Will to believe in something that even she isn't sure about? And more importantly, can she get him to give his parents another chance?

With all the mythology and mysticism of avalon high, Meg Cabot's very first manga is indeed a tale for the ages.

From Goodreads:
Avalon High seems like a typical high school, attended by typical students: There's Lance, the jock. Jennifer, the cheerleader. And Will, senior class president, quarterback, and all-around good guy. But not everybody at Avalon High is who they appear to be ... not even, as new student Ellie is about to discover, herself. What part does she play in the drama that is unfolding? What if the bizarre chain of events and coincidences she has pieced together means -- as with the court of King Arthur -- tragedy is fast approaching Avalon High?

Worst of all, what if there's nothing she can do about it?

From Goodreads:
The exciting conclusion to Meg Cabot's magical Arthurian manga!

Ellie has only one day left to get her boyfriend Will to truly believe he's the reincarnation of King Arthur, or the world will plunge into eternal darkness. But Will refuses to believe her! Meanwhile, the upcoming Homecoming game and dance have everyone distracted, especially Ellie. Some people aren't too happy about her Homecoming Queen nomination and are determined to cause trouble. Ellie's got to save her reputation and the world before the new moon on the night of Homecoming brings them all to a dangerous crossroad. If Ellie can't convince Will of his destiny, the world may never recover. . . .

This manga series of Arthurian legend and high school romance comes to a thrilling climax in this final volume. And just remember--anything can happen if you believe!

My Review:
Oh, this was just a great little ending to the series! And by series, I mean the 1 full length novel, but we got to see what happened after that ending, and yeah, that was just fantastic, and I really enjoyed it! So good, and yeah, we got to be with these characters some more, which is just great!

The having the beginning words be almost exactly the same, and the images the same for the first 2, I kinda wish that it'd been 1 volume, because with those first 2 chapters cut from the 2nd books, it'd be about the size of Avalon High.

Speaking of it's previous book, these books really made me want to watch the movie based on it again, even though I watched it just after reading the book last year. I dunno, because of the differences from it to the movie, and how Ellie was actually Arthur, that was pretty cool!

These graphic novels also had Morgana, or her modern day counter part, which was pretty great, even though I thought that she was Mordred's mom, and in these, she's dating him, but whatever, and it's not going to be the exact same, so that was a change that I liked!

Yeah, this was just great to read these books, to own them, because it means that I basically own all the Meg Cabot books that are out there (that I have a copy of each of them, not that I literally have all the copies in the world :) ) so that I can read them whenever I want!

If you enjoyed Avalon High, read these, they're really great!
