Finding Her Way Back: Review

From Goodreads:
Meet Callie, a chubby-sexy nineteen-year-old girl who fears high heels, commitments, and has a love/hate relationship with her running shoes. Nine months of college down the drain and all she has to show for it is her freshman thirty.

But alas, life has other crap plans for her--one that includes a strict regiment of "do this and do that" from her she-devil sister, all while trying to avoid the unavoidable. The unavoidable being Ky: the ex-best friend-turned-sex god who lives across the street.

Meet Ky; a nineteen-year-old wanna be country music singer and a boy-turned-man who still wears a proverbial skateboard around his neck from wasted high school days. When Callie returns home, he realizes that she's exactly the muse he's been missing all this time.

Now, if only she can stop running long enough to find out where their love could lead. Finding Her Way Back is a new adult novel about finding love while learning how to love yourself. For all the chubby-sexy girls who tend to feel invisible, this one's for you!

My Review:
Well, I ,don't fit in with the "sexy" bit, but the rest, that's me! And yeah, this book was for me, it was entertaining, it was enjoyable, it was sweet, and tough, at different moments, but it was always a good book, and always enjoyable to keep flipping the pages!

First off, things are not going well for Callie. Her boyfriend broke up with her, she gained weight as a college freshman, and now her sister's getting married, and is making some disparaging remarks about Callie and her weight, and being in the sister's wedding. Which is not fun at all. And in comes Ky.

Ky, the boy who used to be her best friend, the one that you confide pretty much everything in, except things changed between them, and now, they're grown up, and new, more-then-friendship feelings are evolving between the two of them, and yeah, it was nice and sweet to read about that!

But this book wasn't just light, it dealt with some harder issues, too, and while they were sometimes a bit hard to read, like the secret that's in Callie's family, they are issues that are pretty well worked through by the end, and yeah, that was really great!

I really enjoyed this book, and pretty much the last paragraph of the synopsis, is right, this book is for a really specific set of people, and then for pretty much everybody who enjoys NA fiction!
