Week 3 Review: The Shadow Hour

From Goodreads:
Everything in Echo's life changed in a blinding flash when she learned the startling truth: she is the firebird, the creature of light that is said to bring peace.

The firebird has come into the world, but it has not come alone. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and Echo can feel a great and terrible darkness rising in the distance. Cosmic forces threaten to tear the world apart.

Echo has already lost her home, her family, and her boyfriend. Now, as the firebird, her path is filled with even greater dangers than the ones she's already overcome.

She knows the Dragon Prince will not fall without a fight.

Echo must decide: can she wield the power of her true nature--or will it prove too strong for her, and burn what's left of her world to the ground?

Welcome to the shadow hour.

My Review:
Yeah, this was an incredible book! I really enjoyed the first book, and then there was this book and it was just so freaking good! Loved catching up with Echo and the gang, and I can't wait to read the 3rd book! It's going to be fantastic!

There was a lot going on in this book. Like finding out that there was an opposite to the Firebird, a creature of darkness. And it's after her. Which means that chaos ensues, and I loved reading it! Though there was a cost. A bunch, actually. Which in turn shoves Echo into the conflict!

In this book, we learn more about Echo's past, and a character comes from Jasper's past to help, but he wasn't at all likable! And it turned out, he was pretty despicable! He totally got what he deserved, and I was glad that it was Jasper who was central to that!

there was Ivy, going back into the trenches and that was so empowering that she did so! She showed really strength there! What Tanith did, was pretty horrible! And that she'd basically use Caius as a battery as so not to use her own energy, was pretty bad! Yeah, fantastic ending, and I need more, such an evil ending!

Loved this book, it was just so fantastic, and I need more!
