Week 9 Reviews: In Time, Never Fade

From Goodreads:
Gabe's life has been devastated in the wake of the economic crash. The only option left for someone like him to escape his tragic past is to leave his small town behind and to attempt to become a skip tracer. This already almost impossible task is made all the more difficult by his first score, a young girl who won't speak, but who changes his life in ways he could never imagine.

From Goodreads:
Ruby never asked for the abilities that almost cost her her life. Now she must call upon them on a daily basis, leading dangerous missions to bring down a corrupt government and breaking into the minds of her enemies. Other kids in the Children’s League call Ruby "Leader", but she knows what she really is: a monster.

When Ruby is entrusted with an explosive secret, she must embark on her most dangerous mission yet: leaving the Children's League behind. Crucial information about the disease that killed most of America's children—and turned Ruby and the others who lived into feared and hated outcasts—has survived every attempt to destroy it. But the truth is only saved in one place: a flashdrive in the hands of Liam Stewart, the boy Ruby once believed was her future—and who now wouldn't recognize her.

As Ruby sets out across a desperate, lawless country to find Liam—and answers about the catastrophe that has ripped both her life and America apart—she is torn between old friends and the promise she made to serve the League. Ruby will do anything to protect the people she loves. But what if winning the war means losing herself?

My first review of In Time, Never Fade
My Review:
These were really fantastic to reread again! And on a funny note, ish, that the first time, I read it before and after a job in one part of town. While reading them this time, I had another job in that area! So that was cool!

In Time, oh, man, such a great story! We get to see this world from the perspective of someone who isn't running and hiding, and who has been living in what's normal for the rest of them. So that's great! And we get to meet Liam and Cole's mom! Yeah! But oh, we still don't know if Gabe lived or died!

This was the first time, that I realized, that if you put the titles of the full length novels, they make a workable sentence! The darkest minds never fade in the afterlight. Though spell check doesn't think "afterlight" is a word! So that's pretty cool!

The ending, with Gray staging the attack on his life, so he could attack Los Angeles, well, very clever, and evil! But that Clancy wasn't able to destroy the research, that was great! But, oh, Jude! I'd forgotten that it was him who died!

Such great books, so enjoyable, so good, and I can't wait for more! Need to finish this series!
