Week 50 Review: The Nerdy and the Dirty

From Goodreads:
His classmates may consider him a nerd, but Benedict Pendleton knows he's destined for great things. All he has to do is find a worthy girlfriend, and his social station will be secured. Sure, Benedict is different--but that's what he likes about himself.

Pen Lupo is sick and tired of hiding who she is. On the outside, Pen is popular, quiet, and deferential to her boyfriend. On the inside, however, Pen is honest, opinionated--and not sure that she's quite like other girls. Do they have urges like she does?

When fate intervenes, Pen and Benedict end up at the same vacation resort for winter break. Despite their differences, the two are drawn together. But is there such a thing as happily ever after for this unlikely pair?

My Review:
This book was utterly hilarious! I loved reading about Pen and Benedict, they were real and they were crazy, and they were really fantastic to read about! I really enjoyed their story, there were ups and downs, and it was just fantastic!

These are teenagers. Pen's a popular girl who stays in the shadows-and who doesn't say what's on her mind, and then berates herself over her fakeness. Benedict, whose dad wrote a book on being perfect, and who is really book-intelligent, but has low social intelligence! On appearances, they look like a bad couple, but they absolutely weren't!

Of course, they are teenagers, so sex is big part, talking about it, thinking about it, and everything related to it. And they think that makes them weird. But it's a weird subject, and it seems to be different for everybody, so yeah, really enjoyed their journey!

One awesome thing to note, is the acknowledgements at the end of this book. Because they involved the characters talking to the author, and them writing bits and pieces, and the request to be though of as real, and B.T. Gottfred and us readers were characters and Pen and Benedict and others were writing about us, and about being real. Yeah. Really awesome!

Loved this book, so awesome, and now I really need to read his first book!
