From Goodreads:
Mercy Thompson's life has undergone a seismic change. Becoming the mate of Adam Hauptman—the charismatic Alpha of the local werewolf pack—has made her a stepmother to his daughter Jesse, a relationship that brings moments of blissful normalcy to Mercy's life. But on the edges of humanity, what passes for a minor mishap on an ordinary day can turn into so much more…
After an accident in bumper-to-bumper traffic, Mercy and Jesse can't reach Adam—or anyone else in the pack for that matter. They've all been abducted.
Through their mating bond, all Mercy knows is that Adam is angry and in pain. With the werewolves fighting a political battle to gain acceptance from the public, Mercy fears Adam's disappearance may be related—and that he and the pack are in serious danger. Outclassed and on her own, Mercy may be forced to seek assistance from any ally she can get, no matter how unlikely.
From Goodreads:
Some members of Adam's pack think Asil should get out more, so they've challenged him to accept a series of blind dates . . .
My Review:
I enjoyed these stories so much! So much fun to read, so entertaining, and just so great! I was really excited to read them, because hey, they're a part of this series that has been getting better and better with each book! Yep.
I loved the mystery in Frost Burned, because while it was really bad that Adam's pack was kidnapped, there was a lot going on behind the scenes, with the fey, and vampires, that slowly came out and was just so great!
Like the character in Fairy Gifts short story was in Frost Burned, and a good thing, because I thought I'd missed him in earlier books, and was glad that I hadn't! This book affected the pack, in a pretty negative way, but most of them came out of it alive for more adventures! And oh, when Mercy took the silver through the mate bond because she's Coyote's daughter...yeah!
It's funny, it says members of Adam's pack are the ones that want Asil out and dating, even if he isn't in their pack, well, he was in Frost Burned, so they had at least met him. Which is probably why the one lady in Bran's pack wasn't the first date, which is really the only one that happened. Both hilarious, and a bit sad, that's what I think of Unappreciated Gifts!
Just so fantastic to read these, and I need to read more, I've almost caught up!
