Week 6 Reviews: Demon Storm, Deadly Fixation

From Goodreads:
In the fifth book of this bestselling paranormal series, Evalle faces her greatest nightmare - losing Storm - and without his help the Beladors will fall to an enemy they have fought for centuries.

*Includes DEADLY FIXATION bonus short story from the Belador world.

With Treoir Island in shambles after a Medb attack that left the survival of the missing Belador warrior queen in question and Belador powers compromised, the Beladors have one hope for their queen's return and their own future: Evalle Kincaid, whose recent transformation has turned her into an even more formidable warrior. First Evalle has to locate Storm, the Skinwalker she's bonded with who she believes can find the Belador queen, but Storm stalks the witch doctor threatening Evalle's life. The hunter becomes the hunted, and Evalle must face her greatest nightmare to save Storm and the Beladors-or watch the future of mankind fall to deadly preternatural predators...

Deadly Fixation:
A Belador warrior and a bounty hunter face off when both are after the same felon. Devon Fortier of the Beladors has a sworn duty to capture a dangerous troll dealing Noirre majik—and hand him over to a tribunal court for judgment. But Joleen Mac will lose her bounty hunter position if she doesn't bring in the outlaw troll herself—dead or alive—and her very existence depends on it. Devon and Jo have crossed paths before, leaving a debt of honor hanging between them, but with thousands of innocent humans flooding Savannah, Georgia to participate in the St. Patrick's Day parade the next day, these two must join forces to stop a deadly Svart Troll attack before it ends in a bloody massacre.

My Review:
Oh, I enjoyed reading this book, with the short story at the end, so much! It's the first full length book about Evalle written without Sherrilyn Kenyon, which was half the reason that I started reading this series, the other half being that I really enjoyed the short story in Dead After Dark! So yeah, I was a bit apprehensive. But the only change that I noticed, was that it seems shorter, but that's fine! There's one less brain to think about the series, and one less set of hands to write it!

So the main thing that this book focuses on, is finding Storm, and then finding Brina! And what I found really awesome, was the title of this book, Demon Storm, that it means all the demons that are coming out with the Beladors weakened, and the demon side of Storm, which I didn't get until Evalle thought of it like that!

So a few people find out about Storm's mom, seeing as they're the ones that are rescuing him. But the get a little late, she goes crazy, and Evalle has to kill her. Which adds some complications, but in the end, it was OK! Even in Isak got a date planned for the pair of them!

There are a lot of balls being juggled in this series. From what's going with the Medb, the debt that Storm, and now Evalle, now owe Adrianna, but that Evalle worked out a truce with, and the bad ghost that now has Evalle's ability to walk in the sun, what she did to Grady, and now, Brina's loss of memory! Just after it's revealed that their goddess set up the deals to prod them into workign to be together again! She just needs to remember, and it'll be all good!

I just loved reading this book, it was just so good, and now I just really want more of this series!
