I never believed in ghosts. Until one tried to kill me.
When Kennedy Waters finds her mother dead, her world begins to unravel. She doesn’t know that paranormal forces in a much darker world are the ones pulling the strings. Not until identical twins Jared and Lukas Lockhart break into Kennedy’s room and destroy a dangerous spirit sent to kill her. The brothers reveal that her mother was part of an ancient secret society responsible for protecting the world from a vengeful demon — a society whose five members were all murdered on the same night.
Now Kennedy has to take her mother’s place in the Legion if she wants to uncover the truth and stay alive. Along with new Legion members Priest and Alara, the teens race to find the only weapon that might be able to destroy the demon — battling the deadly spirits he controls every step of the way.
My Review:
This book was awesome. I don't read too, too many ghost stories, but I enjoyed the world in this one! I just recently started watching Supernatural, and yeah, this book kinda reminded me of it, but more of a group setting, and just fighting ghosts/demons, instead of a variety of supernatural creatures, though there was Jared and Lukas!
I enjoyed all these characters! They were different, and intriguing, their differences, in personalities, and in powers, and how things happened, that was just really interesting, and the team dynamics, they were believable!
I wonder why there was only 5 of them. They couldn't have had more? I mean, they were facing off with a demon. They should've brought in a bit more backup, because the saying, there's strength in numbers, is a saying for a reason!
I felt really bad for her, when she found out what she'd done. And added to that, that she wasn't actually part of their group? Well, that's a pretty crushing blow! I wonder how that is all going to play out, I'm interested in seeing that!
I enjoyed this book a lot, and I am really craving some Legion book 2!
