Week 23 Review: The Night We Said Yes

From Goodreads:
A fun, romantic read, perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen and Susane Colasanti!

Before Matt, Ella had a plan. Get over a no-good ex-boyfriend. Graduate from high school without any more distractions. Move away from Orlando, Florida, where she's lived her entire life.

But Matt—the cute, shy, bespectacled bass player who just moved to town—was never part of that plan.

And neither was attending a party that was crashed by the cops just minutes after they arrived. Or spending an entire night saying "yes" to every crazy, fun thing they could think of.

Then Matt abruptly left town, and he broke not only Ella's heart but those of their best friends, too. So when he shows up a year later with a plan of his own—to relive the night that brought them together—Ella isn't sure whether Matt’s worth a second chance. Or if re-creating the past can help them create a different future.

In alternating then and now chapters, debut author Lauren Gibaldi crafts a charming, romantic story of first loves, lifelong friendships, uncovered secrets, and, ultimately, finding out how to be brave.

My Review:
It was really fantastic to read this book! Nice and light, but also dealing with some harder things, though something that could've been bigger was glossed over a bit, but while it, itself wasn't important, the ripples had a really big impact in this book! Like, that it's the cause of the big conflict, why there's a book at all!

I really enjoyed the narration, of the bad and forth between the day that they met, and then the day that they found out that he was back. Well, not really days, but nights, like it says in the title. And while they recreated some of the events, where they were different was really great!

This is a book about characters, and the relationships that they have, of Ella, Matt, Meg, and Jake. Two romantic couples, and two really close confiders in the girls and the boys, and then friends with everyone. Exploring these relationships in both days was a big part of this book!

I've seen on Goodreads that there's a novella, Matt's Story, which I wish came out soon then it does, so I could read it with this! Because it would've been really fantastic to have Ella's story, then go and get Matt's right away! Oh, well, I got this early, so yeah!

Really great, fantastic book, and I enjoyed it a lot! Lots of fun to read, and I loved where it ended! I just love roller coasters!
