The Antithesis: Review and Giveaway

From Goodreads:
This is a story about God and the Devil, but not how you were taught to believe.

This is also a story about love and hate, and the suffering both can bring.

This is about rights and wrongs, and all of the spaces in between.

This is about revenge, courage, death, passion; with no villains, no heroes... only those left scorned.

This is a story about Heaven, Hell, and the Jury that holds them together.

This is The Antithesis.

Justice Alezair Czynri is the newest recruit of the Jury, a group of powerful beings who reside in Purgatory and enforce the Code between Heaven and Hell. However, Justice Czynri could not have come at a worse time. A storm lays just over the horizon...

One that brings with it a war.

My Review:
Oh, man, I really enjoyed this book! True that there was a lot of swearing which got kinda old pretty quickly, that was just who he was, so character flaws don't count against the book! Because, I have to say, this was a really unique book! I just love unique books, they keep reading fresh, which is a good thing when you read as much as I do, you need something to keep the passion for books alive, and The Antithesis definitely provided that!

The humour embedded into the narration, sly, sarcastic comments, gave it a, well, dark humour side to the writing, which made the pages fly by so quickly, I hardly noticed I'd reached the end of the book, that I was expected more story, because I wanted more, because that couldn't be all of it, I'd only read maybe half of the book, but no, I was done, and yeah, just all part of the reason why this was an excellent book!

The action-and the blood, and the gore-were present in this book. Most of the time, in action scenes, it's just the fighting, and sometimes the consequence's of said fighting, like aches and pains, but in this book, we really got to see the blood squirting out of veins, and fighting that would make the hardiest fighter a little uneasy to even start fighting. Great part of the book, that!

I really enjoyed The Antithesis, it was special, unique, and quite a bit crazy, and overall just a read that people need to have in their heads, so I'd suggest that you guys check out the giveaway below!
