Week 39 Review: Blood

From Goodreads:
"I do not remember being bitten. I wish I did, for then I would know the creature who did this to me and I would have a purpose, to track him down and repay him for the poisoned gift he gave me." Back in the 13th Century, Will was destined to be Earl of Mercia. He never lived to inherit his title, struck down by a strange illness and buried beneath the city walls. But Will was not dead, and only now, seven lonely centuries later, does he begin to understand that there was a reason for all of this, that he has a destiny. To find it though, he will need help, and as ever, he will need blood.

My Review:
I'm so glad that I got the 2nd book from NetGalley, or else, I might not have read this book. And that would've been a shame, because this was a really fantastic book! I really enjoyed how vampires were in this world, it was really interesting!

Will didn't want to become a vampire. But he did, and now that he's lived this long, well, yeah, he's not really happy. And then all this destiny stuff starts something, and things start looking up for him! It was really great to watch that!

This book was just really strange. And I enjoyed it so much! A part of the reason that Will was such a fantastic narrator was because he was strange! Oh, the setting, the writing, and the plot all helped there, but Will's narration was a bit part of that!

I'm really, really glad that it's a series! Because that means that we'll see more of Elise and Will. We'll see more of Will adjusting to the modern day and time and language, because that was just fantastic in this book! And more facing off with the bad guys and plotting there! Can't wait for that!

This was a really fantastic book! I just enjoyed it so much, and I need more!
