Week 8 Review: Liars, Inc.

From Goodreads:
It all starts with one little lie…

Max Cantrell has never been a big fan of the truth, so when the opportunity arises to sell lies to his classmates, it sounds like a good way to make a little money and liven up a boring senior year. With the help of his friends Preston and Parvati, Max starts a business providing forged permission slips and cover stories for the students of Vista Palisades High. Liars, Inc. they call it. Suddenly everybody needs something and the cash starts pouring in. Who knew lying could be so lucrative?

When Preston wants his own cover story to go visit a girl he met online, Max doesn’t think twice about hooking him up. Until Preston never comes home. Then the evidence starts to pile up—terrifying clues that lead the cops to Preston's body. Terrifying clues that point to Max as the murderer.

Can Max find the real killer before he goes to prison for a crime he didn't commit? Paula Stokes starts with one single white lie and weaves a twisted tale that will have readers guessing until the explosive final chapters.

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book! I've read one of her books under her pseudonym, but as it says in this book, this is the first written under her own name, so yeah, that was something special, and this was just a great book!

I loved the way it was arranged, having "the middle is the beginning of the end" and having that one quick scene, then going back to the beginning until it got to the point, and having the other half, the "end" it was a really great layout, one that I enjoyed a lot!

It was a bit funny that I read this on Valentine's Day, because the main characters, Max, and his girlfriend, Parvati, don't think they're in love, they're in lust, at least! And I really enjoyed reading about their relationship, especially as it changed as events happened!

OK, I admit it, I was just too eager to see how the mystery would end, that I read the end, so I knew how it would end, and how some of the twists would play out. But was just so great! Such a great mystery with the deaths and blackmailing, and framing!

This was such a fantastic book! I enjoyed it a lot, and the bad guy is surprising, and I can't wait for more books like this from Paula Stokes! Because just the idea of a company like Liars, Inc. is awesome!
