Q: What writing device or trick most irritates you when reading a book? For example, if an author employs an omnipotent narrator that is sometimes considered bad form.
A: It's not really a trick, but a phrase, "moistening her/his lips" annoying the heck out of me, espeically when it's used more then once in the book. I don't know why, but it's just really annoying! What about you guys? Happy reading!
