Week 9 Review: The Indigo Spell

From Goodreads:
In the aftermath of a forbidden moment that rocked Sydney to her core, she finds herself struggling to draw the line between her Alchemist teachings and what her heart is urging her to do. Then she meets alluring, rebellious Marcus Finch--a former Alchemist who escaped against all odds, and is now on the run. Marcus wants to teach Sydney the secrets he claims the Alchemists are hiding from her. But as he pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her, Sydney finds that breaking free is harder than she thought. There is an old and mysterious magic rooted deeply within her. And as she searches for an evil magic user targeting powerful young witches, she realizes that her only hope is to embrace her magical blood--or else she might be next.

My Review:
I loved this book so much! It was so entertaining, picked up quickly, and just kept the momentum going, and it was like, where is this going to go, and I want more, why don't my eyes move fast enough to read more, because I need more of this now, but I know it'll be a long wait for the next book! So much conflicting emotions on reading this book quickly or slower!

So there were 3 threads in this book. The magic with her teacher, and learning that, and the bad guy was her teacher's sister. Then there was Marcus Finch, and working with him-and here the magic helped her get around, on that one mission. And finally, her accepting, and working with, her feelings for Adrian. I read somewhere that Bloodlines was Adiran and Sydney falling in love, and Adrian finding out, and working with it, that The Golden Lily was him accepting it, and trying to work on her acceptance and this was the one where she accepted it. So cute!

When they were tracking down the bad lady, and they were at the hotel, they were just so cute together! And then the shirts that they made, they were doing couple stuff, and yeah, I think that helped her realize that it was happening, and that it was real!

I loved the twist at the end, when it turns out, that the sister had been a victim of the bad guy, who we're told was a protégé of said sister, and then when it came to it, took her mentor's powers, and then went on with the plan to gain more power. Creepy, but I'm slightly glad that it wasn't the sister who was the bad guy!

I just enjoyed this book so much, and I can't wait to read more!
