Week 12 Reviews: Roar and Liv, Through the Ever Night

From Goodreads:
Before Perry and Aria, there was Roar and Liv.

After a childhood spent wandering the borderlands, Roar finally feels like he has a home with the Tides. His best friend Perry is like a brother to him, and Perry's sister, Liv, is the love of his life. But Perry and Liv's unpredictable older brother, Vale, is the Blood Lord of the Tides, and he has never looked kindly on Roar and Liv's union. Normally, Roar couldn't care less about Vale's opinion. But with food running low and conditions worsening every day, Vale's leadership is more vital—and more brutal—than ever. Desperate to protect his tribe, Vale makes a decision that will shatter the life Roar knew and change the fate of the Tides forever.

From Goodreads:
It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both. Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, can their love survive through the ever night?

My Review:
I enjoyed reading these so much! They were such so good, and yeah, I kinda liked that I read them in this order, because Roar and Liv's story didn't really have much impact on Under the Never Sky, but it was a major part of Through the Ever Night!

Because Roar and Liv, is the story of them, before, and just after it's announced that Liv is to marry the leader of the other tribe. Which yeah, the two of them are against that, seeing as they're dating, and then it ends, with Liv gone, and Roar in about the place that he was in Under the Never Sky!

Ah, Aria and Perry, reunited! But things don't stay good for long, seeing as she's poisoned in the ritual for her gift, and then it's decided that she can do more good talking to the other tribe. And yeah, it's kinda good-but the leader and the people in the dome's make a plan just for them!

Oh, Liv! That was really sad, that she died. I mean, we hardly got to know her. But at least, she doesn't have to spend life married to that bad guy! But that means that there's going to be trouble in the future, because they're all going to leave, the bad guys, and abandon people-which is not cool!

I enjoyed reading both of these, they were just so good, and I can't wait to read more! Just one more full length novel left!
