On the night Malcolm and Maud Angel are murdered, Tandy Angel knows just three things: 1) She was the last person to see her parents alive. 2) The police have no suspects besides Tandy and her three siblings. 3) She can't trust anyone—maybe not even herself. Having grown up under Malcolm and Maud's intense perfectionist demands, no child comes away undamaged. Tandy decides that she will have to clear the family name, but digging deeper into her powerful parents' affairs is a dangerous-and revealing-game. Who knows what the Angels are truly capable of?
My Review:
Loved this book! Loved how she pretty much had to suspect her siblings, seeing the way that they were raised, and yeah, interspersed with memories, and investigating their deaths, and all that, it was just interesting and unique!
One thing that I think of, when I look back, is that this book was a YA book that took everything that this genre is-a young person finding out who she is-plus the sub genres of mystery, and just took it to the max, and made it all that more important to the plot!
Loved learning more about their family, and the stuff that they learned, it was hard for the family, because these were their parents, even if they were really strict and pretty unlovable from the outside (the unlovable, not the strict.)
Loved the way that they found who the killer was-that their neighbour had bugged their house, and had a video tape of what happened. It was sad, but yeah, I'm glad that they found out, and it wasn't one of them!
Really enjoyed this book, loved that she could've been the killer, and yeah, can't wait to read more!
