Brutal, Perfection: Reviews

From Goodreads:
One dark and warm October night in the heart of Arizona, a group of friends are out for an evening of fun. It was a night for celebration, and to draw them away from the world.

As they drink the night away, a dark and handsome stranger watches them in the distance. His observations going unnoticed as the girls focus on their own conversation.

Too drunk to make it home on their own, the stranger offers the group a ride home in his taxi. Reluctantly, the girls agree.

What follows is a dark and brutal act of revenge decades in the making.

From Goodreads:
Carol and Tammy Long have fought a constant battle with their weight all their lives. When a stranger on the television offers an amazing new diet plan with a weight loss success rate of 100 percent, Tammy feels like it was an answer to their prayers.

As the pair ventures off to the Verde Valley Weight Loss Clinic things start to take a darker turn. The owner Kathy Black gives them a new take on the classic idea of perfection.

Now, placed in a medical facility where they are constantly monitored, the women learn there is something wrong with perfection.

My Review:
These were 2 really kinda creepy short stories! Brutal has this guy who's bitter because of his father's death, which lead to his mothers, unfairly, and he blames the cop that shot his dad in prison-a prison he was in for wrongly, or so believed the bad guy-and yeah, it was really creepy! Perfection was equally creepy with these 2 women go for a weight loss program, and then they are there, they can't leave, no one knows where they are, and the people who hold them prisoner want to shape their minds so they were  perfect. And yeah, it was just really creepy!

Brutal, the bad guy, you could almost feel sorry for him, because ofwhat lead him to kill, but then he killed, 3 people, and all unique, like beating them, shooting them, and finally, setting the daughter of the cop who he blames for his dad's death on fire. Yeah. Really creepy!!

Perfection, the sisters, I didn't like too much, but they were real, if gross with having trash out and wearing old clothing. They didn't deserve to be kept prisoner, to be made into the perfect minds of obedience, and the the one sister, when she says she thinks she's perfect, she's taken out, thinking she's getting released, is instead beaten, and then killed. Because she wasn't perfect according to their rules. Yeah.

These are really creepy, but really good, short stories, I hope you check them out!
