Week 10 Review: The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove

From Goodreads:
A steamy Southern beauty makes one fatal mistake...

Natalie Hargrove would kill to be her high school's Palmetto Princess. But her boyfriend Mike King doesn't share her dream and risks losing the honor of Palmetto Prince to Natalie's nemesis, Justin Balmer. So she convinces Mike to help play a prank on Justin. . . one that goes terribly wrong. They tie him to the front of the church after a party - when they arrive the next morning, Justin is dead.

From blackmail to buried desire, dark secrets to darker deeds, Natalie unravels. She never should've messed with fate. Fate is the one thing more twisted than Natalie Hargrove.

Cruel Intentions meets Macbeth in this seductive, riveting tale of conscience and consequence.

My Review:
This book was pretty dark, and interesting, and entertaining! And short! I just loved the mystery, because yeah, something's going on there! And it's pretty sad, too, they meant to pull a prank-and they killed him. Not the best situation to be in, but they're teens, their lives are just starting. Just makes it sad for all parties involved!

But another thing that's sad about this book, is that there really is no nice person in it. Everybody seemed to be out for their own self interest, they didn't care that someone had died besides the notoriety, and yeah, there's a reason why there's "betrayal" in the title!

I enjoyed all the twists and turns-especially the ones at the ending. That ending was just so creepy, and spectacular, that yeah, it's hard to actually believe that was what happen. It was a pretty bold ending, and just a bit like that one Lost episode, where they're buried alive, but yeah, great ending!

The Betrayal of Natalie Hargorve was a really entertaining book, and while I haven't seen Cruel Intentions or read Macbeth, this book was seductive, and about conscience and consequences!
