Is death the end . . . or only the beginning?
Ethan Wate always dreamed of leaving the stifling Southern town of Gatlin.
But he never dreamt that finding love with Lena Duchannes would drive him away. Lena is a Caster girl whose supernatural powers unveiled a secretive and cursed side of Gatlin, so powerful it forced him to make a terrible sacrifice.
Now Ethan must find a way to return to Lena - and Gatlin - as she vows to do whatever it takes to get him back. Even if it means trusting old enemies or risking their loved ones' lives.
Can Ethan and Lena rewrite their fate and their spellbinding love story in this stunning finale to the Beautiful Creatures series?
My Review:
Oh, man, this was a really great ending to the series! So much happens, and it's almost too much that this is only one book, that it feels like it tells so many stories, because it does, because Ethan has the first third, Lena the second, and then back to Ethan for the ending! So great!
So Ethan's dead, and yet, he's not gone yet. Because he wasn't supposed to die. And it's funny, because Abraham has been the bad guy behind the scenes since the beginning, but then there's the Keepers, the high council, that have been even further behind the scenes! So great!
This is the book where things come together, where events that have been happening since the first book, they finally, really make sense, and yeah, with everything that was going on, that was just so great to read about!
Like, Abraham, and Hunting, they've been the bad guys, and then in once scene, poof, gone. And the Angelus, and how Ethan's journey helped him figure out how to win, yeah, that was really great! But then oh, that ending! Bittersweet!
I would really want more, because it doesn't feel, finished, you know? But I really loved this book!
