Violet Eden is Grigori - part angel, part human. Her destiny is to protect humans from the vengence of exiled angels.
Knowing who to trust is key but, when Grigori reinforcements arrive, it becomes clear everyone is hiding something. Even Lincoln. The only thing Violet does know: Phoenix's hold over her is more dangerous than ever.
The race to find the one thing that could tilt the balance of power brings them all to the sacred mountains of Jordan, where Violet's power will be pushed to the extreme. And the ultimate betrayal exposed.
My Review:
Oh, man, this was a really fantastic book! Loved reading it so much, it was so action packed, and full of revelations, and it was just so awesome! Though some parts hurt, a good deal of them lanced the pain to move on, so yeah!
There wasn't a lot of Phoenix in this book. Which was really great, he wasn't a good guy. His actions were felt, sure, but he wasn't in the majority of this book. But with that ending, he's probably going to be in the next one a bit more!
I loved the new characters, they added some different people to this world, and we got to see more of it, which was great! Really enjoyed that, and them, they were interesting to know more of! Though not all of them survived through this book!
And that ending! Between the secrets, and Magda being who she is, and Phoenix, well, things are better, and things are worse, since they have to work together with Phoenix, but since Magda is gone, then Violet's the highest in the ranking, so if they follow the rules, she'll be in charge!
Such a wonderful book, and I can't wait to read more!
