Teaser Tuesday #39, January 3rd

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

 •Grab your current read
•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

 Today's teaser comes from The Evil Within by Nancy Holder, page 74,

 "'You already have hurt her,' he said. 'I'll give you a chance to back off. Now.'" 

 Doesn't that sound creepy!!! If you've read book 1, Possessions, then highlight this it's from the Mandy's brother. And the "her" is Mandy. The "you," Lindsey. Yep.  

 And from my own book, Watch Me Die, page 2.

 "Things were really bad. There was a backlog of people to go to hospices, because they’d waited to long."
