Week 9 Review: Grave Mercy

From Goodreads:
Why be the sheep, when you can be the wolf?

Seventeen-year-old Ismae escapes from the brutality of an arranged marriage into the sanctuary of the convent of St. Mortain, where the sisters still serve the gods of old. Here she learns that the god of Death Himself has blessed her with dangerous gifts—and a violent destiny. If she chooses to stay at the convent, she will be trained as an assassin and serve as a handmaiden to Death. To claim her new life, she must destroy the lives of others.

Ismae's most important assignment takes her straight into the high court of Brittany—where she finds herself woefully under prepared—not only for the deadly games of intrigue and treason, but for the impossible choices she must make. For how can she deliver Death’s vengeance upon a target who, against her will, has stolen her heart?

My Review:
I am utterly in awe of this book! I'm so glad that I got a chance to read it, because I don't know if I would've, otherwise! And it's a book that is meant to be read, I just wanted to have more of Ismae's story! It was just so good!

So there's all the politics in this book, around the Duchess of Brittany, and yeah, that she falls in love with the Duchess's half brother, Gavriel Duval, yeah, that complicates matters! But I just wanted to have more, she's had a rough beginning, and she deserves love!

Then there's the mystery, because there's death that's not Ismae that's surrounding the court, the guy that Anne was supposed to marry, and then Duval was maybe dying, and yeah, how she solves that, was pretty unique!

This was a really fantastic book, It was really addicting and wonderful, and I can't wait to read more!
