Week 6 Review: Cold Kiss

From Goodreads:
It was a beautiful, warm summer day, the day Danny died.

Suddenly Wren was alone and shattered. In a heartbroken fury, armed with dark incantations and a secret power, Wren decides that what she wants--what she "must" do--is to bring Danny back.

But the Danny who returns is just a shell of the boy Wren fell in love with. His touch is icy; his skin, smooth and stiff as marble; his chest, cruelly silent when Wren rests her head against it.

Wren must keep Danny a secret, hiding him away, visiting him at night, while her life slowly unravels around her. Then Gabriel DeMarnes transfers to her school, and Wren realizes that somehow, inexplicably, he can sense the powers that lie within her--and that he knows what she has done. And now Gabriel wants to help make things right.

But Wren alone has to undo what she has wrought--even if it means breaking her heart all over again.

My Review:
Oh, this was a fantastic book! I loved reading about Wren, and her troubles that her magic caused, and her romantic troubles, and her friendship troubles, and it all really came down to Danny, her dead love!

I really enjoyed all the conflicts, because hey, she is a teenager, love is violate, and girls that are close can be alternately close, or far away, nice, and mean, and I felt bad that the whole Danny situation was messing up her friendship with those 2!

I really enjoyed the magic, that she can do a lot of little things with nothing but, like, a thought, and the bigger things with some preparation, and how Gabriel can read minds, and yeah, it's too bad there isn't a sequel, because I'd love to explore that a bit!

Another reason I'd love a sequel-her dad. There's  a mystery as to why he left, and that's one that I'd really love answered, because it's her dad, and that's a bit important! The reason why could be pretty bad for their family, but I think they deserve (and us readers, too) to know why!

Loved this book, really enjoyed it, and yeah, it was just good to read!
