Week 49 Review: Shattered Mirror

From Goodreads:
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author comes a new explosive thriller featuring forensic sculptor Eve Duncan.

Iris Johansen returns with a thrilling novel of action and danger where fan favorite Eve Duncan is thrown once more into a deadly game of intrigue. It begins when Eve receives a package containing a skull—and instructions for Eve to do her work reconstructing it. When she does, a beautiful woman's face emerges. But when Eve is introduced to the dead woman's mirror image, a game is on where her twin's life hangs in the balance.

My Review:
Yeah, this was another fantastic Eve Duncan story! It does jump time by a few years since Mind Game, since Michael's now 6 in this book, but that just means that he had a bit of time to grow up and they've been having peace. Of course, that couldn't last!

This book was about equal time shown to Eve, Cara and Jock. They all have a part to play in this story, and yeah, with the time jump, Cara's now 18, which adds some complications and conflicts, which was really great to read!

We were introduced to Darcy, who was really interesting, the twin mentioned in the synopsis. I really enjoyed her role in this story, it's almost on level to Eve losing Bonnie. Almost. She was a really intriguing character who came up with some really unexpected actions, and I really hope she gets her own book!

This bad guy, he was like, over the top cruel. He has his reasons for what he did, but that in no way excuses what he did. It makes them worse, because wow, cruel! It makes his ending, and who did it and how, feel all the more just!

Yeah, this was another amazing book, and I can't wait for more!
