I Finished!

Well, I just told you about this short story yesterday.
But still. I just finished it today, just 10 min ago, actually. It is 1.6k right now, and most of it is very rough, seeing as I wrote it on WoD, 1k in 10 min, well, it doesn't get spelled very well if it's me.
Anyway's, here's the last edited sentence of Creeping Down Your Street:
Better watch out for me. I just might creep down your street in the dead of night.

I will post the whole story when I finish editing it, so probably tomorrow :)
Now you guys better write!

Update of March Hint Fic (Creep Down Your Street)

Here's an update on my short story of the month, CDYS: It's now over the WC of the words that made up it's prompt. It might still be just under 200 words, but that's progress, right? I just need to get it to 1k, and then I can finish it :) Can't wait for that :) hehe :)
But here's what I have of it so far
*NOTE* There is some harsh content, with a prositute addict mother, and a bitter child*
:
This boy catches balls, divides fractions, won’t die if he drinks milk, grabs flags off the other team’s players. My dad loves this other boy.
Me, he’ll hate the day I die. It’s nothing personal against me-it’s against my mom.
She was the addict.
She was the one that got pregnant with me, and then saddled me with him, another child to take care of, in addition to the kid already had with his wife.
Yep, that’s right.
I’m a bastard child of a prostitute who was hired to take care of him. But still.
I’m not bitter. Honest. I just wish I had a baseball bat (and was healthy enough to be able to hold it) and some personal alone time with her, that’s all I’m asking for.
Unfortunately, I won’t get either thing.
For one, since she was a junkie addict who used her “jobs” to pay for her crack and coke and all other sorts of drugs, and kept doing that even after she became pregnant

Shows I'm Not Sure of the Day:

Review: Heart of the Dragon

From Goodreads:
Searching for her missing brother, Grace Carlyle never dreamed she would discover a secret world populated by mythological monsters--or find herself facing a sword-wielding being whose looks put mortal men to shame.

But there he was, Darius en Kragin, one of a race of shape-shifting warriors bound to guard the gates of Atlantis, and kill all travelers who strayed within its borders.

Now Grace's life was in his hands, and Darius had to choose between his centuries-old vow and the woman who had slipped beneath his defenses and stolen the heart of Atlantis's fiercest dragon.

My Review:
Wow. I loved this book!

But first, let me tell you the short story of how I got it.
I was manning the book station for my church's annual yard sell (thought on a very large scale.) The books were 25 cents, or 4 for a buck.

I found many books (and will be posting reviews for these books later) and one of the ones I found was Heart of the Dragon. I was drawn in by the title (there was so many books, that I had very little room behind them, and only the spine was visible) and then I was further drawn in by the cover (it has been reprinted with a green cover with a man with a tattoo but this is the cover of the book that I have) and the blurb on the back.

So I started reading it then and there, of the 40 books that I bought that day.

And kept reading it. And reading it. Between going to Calgary and the mall and such (over 3 hours)
I finished it, and then I kept thinking about it. It was pretty much my first adult romance novel, but I loved it.

The plot was great, the characters were funny, and believable, and great, and I just loved the story.
Added bonus for this book, was that it introduced me to Gena Showalter's books, of which I now have almost all of them. You'll be reviews for them, too :)

I would recommend this book to anyone who reads paranormal romance!

Beauty and the Beast

Sorry people that I haven't been posting. I've been very busy with the play-staying to school till 10, then getting computer for less then an hour. Not fun, and I'm missing a few things, but we've had 3 of the 4 shows, so I'm glad for that-the week from hell is almost over!

It's been pretty busy. But today is going to kinda be the worst-we have to strike. Which means that we'll have to take things down, put them away, things like that. Then we'll be doing the signing of the paper, so that we can have a memento of the play, and last year, in le mis, well, let's just say that they weren't done doing that when my dad came to pick me up. At midnight. Because he thought that I was out too late.
Well, this year it's going to be different. Apparently, they are not going to pick me up, so I guess I'm going to cast party. This is going to be fun :)

The cast party for Lucky Stiff, the dinner play that was put on in November, the cast party for that, well, there was a lot of drinks there apparently, and it was very wild. Not my scene. I'd prefer to read :) But I think I should try and get out there with my fellow students. I really hate being shy!

New Plot Idea!

This morning when I woke up, I had the most wonderful dream. It was about love and romance (it seems to be a common theme in my dreams, apparently) and very Romeo and Juliet ish, 2 familes pretty much at war with each other, 2 members of those familes falling in love, but it's going to be futuristic, and I don't think that there will be any major deaths (of the MC's, at least, can't say anything about the minor characters that I might have) and the boy is a bit of a, well, let's just say that he kinda has a harem. I don't know why (but I think it has something to do with his looks) but that's kind important to the plot in the first bit, since that's how they meet and all. And then there's going to be a lot of pranks, I'm thinking. And a lot of warfare ish, since the 2 families do hate each other :)

So this new novel is going to be called "Hidden Hearts" or HH for short, and right now, it's about 200 words in and is 1 prologue, and a few lines into chapter 1 :) Will keep you guys posted on the building of HH :)

Plots of My Books

I've written 2 books.
How it Did Fall.
The Soul Collector.

HDF is a 194k long book, based on the myth of Atlantis, with a twist.

SC is a 94k long book, that is based on the idea that there is life beyond death.
Here are the summaries:
How it Did Fall: Humans weren’t the first intelligent people on the earth. The Experiments were. But when they are mysteriously almost wiped out, they go into hiding among the developing humans, and after a bit of confusion, the myth of the lost city of Atlantis is born. Fast forward to 2020, and Atlantis, still alive, as a survivor, has to keep us humans from finding out about them or else our brains would overload from too much information.- Status: Finished
The Soul Collector: Sarah is mad. First she's sent to prison, then somebody kills her. Then she finds out that she's in the middle of the scale for good and bad.  No wonder she likes fights. As she starts to get used to this 'Half World' she is taught to be a soul collector-something she was roped into by the person who killed her, no less-and then her teacher of all that spooky stuff, Tiaz, turns out to be the relative of the head honcho.  And he's planning a rebellion, no less. Along the way of juggling her past, and her present and future, she somehow manages to find a way to solve the balance issue.  But will it be in time?  Because the worlds are all going to die if something isn't done.-Status: Finished

Oh How I Love You Parent Teacher Interviews and Concerts!

Today is parent teacher interviews. And I love them! Not the actual interviews, but the fact that it means that we got out of PA after just 1 hour! YES!

Which is also good because I have this headache that while I haven't taken any advil, and now that this post is kinda a day old now, I'll update it. I had 14 advil today, was at school for 14 hours, and 14 seems to be the common theme today. Yep :)

Another thing I love is concerts, especially striking, I dunno, I'm just so happy that we're done that I get a bit hyper, and striking is a lovely way to get rid of that excess energy that I don't need :) Plus, it's just soooo fun!

I love my doggies too, they are nice heaters, and they sleep, and it's sooo fun to bother them, since they just look at me and their eyes just say "why are you doing this to me?" and that's it, and then they try to go back to sleep. They sleep most of the day, the weirdos! But yeah :)

Summary

I write. I talk a lot online. So I decided that I would give some summaries (that can also be found in the page about my plots and books) here.
How it Did Fall: Humans weren’t the first intelligent people on the earth. The Experiments were. But when they are mysteriously almost wiped out, they go into hiding among the developing humans, and after a bit of confusion, the myth of the lost city of Atlantis is born. Fast forward to 2020, and Atlantis, still alive, as a survivor, has to keep us humans from finding out about them or else our brains would overload from too much information.
Because the worlds are all going to die if something isn't done.

Also, the first book that I ever started:
Forsaken Vows: Guy comes home from war to find his parents had been in car accident, dad dead, mom dying. Just before that, she tells him about his half brother. He swears to kill people who cheat on their spouses (his half brother's dad was a married man when conceived) and to kill them the way they fear the most. His brother, and the man who adopted brother are both going to die.
Updates:
HDF: not currently working on, 194k
SC: not currently working on, planning an edit though soon, 94k
HDC: WIP 40k
MH: WIP 38k
FV: WIP, trying to type up right now what is written
That was Then (hereby known as TwT): WIP just over 200 words.

Yep. Hope to have some progress on one of these, at least, soon :)

Review: Acheron

From Gookreads:
The most anticipated story in the blockbuster Dark-Hunter series. The never-before-revealed story of the Dark-Hunter leader, Acheron. He was made human in order to escape death, but in death he was reborn a god. . .

Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind.

Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he’ll do anything to keep concealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence.

Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both.
War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

My Review:
Apparently, there's nothing more fun then reading this book. I just couldn't put it down! It's over seven hundred pages, I started reading. And reading. And reading. And I finished in in just under 1 day. It was my first book that I've read by Sherrilyn Kenyon, but I will say that it definitely will not be the last. It was the 15th in the series, yet I understood the world pretty well. I promptly requested the rest of the books from the library, and have slowly been building my collection of her books.

I love the dialogue, both audio, and inner commentary/thoughts, it was too funny. Probably the best was the Simi/song, and being an underwear model. And having read the whole book, Ash really hates objectifying himself like that. And who could blame him?

I love the plot, how the first half or so was his past, and the second half was the present day, it really let us readers into the God who was Acheron, his motivations, and the past really explained the present in a way that I've never read before.

I can honestly say that this is one of the books tying up for #1 favourite. The others are Heart of the Dragon, and Poison Study, and this was the 2nd one I read. I will be collecting this series, and this author, because she's now, because of this book, one of my favourites!!!

My only compliant with the book, is of course, like any good book, is that it ended. Yeah, I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys adult romance paranormal, it does have demons, and creatures that are similar to vampires, Damions, and were creatures (Humans turning into animals, and animals turning into humans) and such :)

Yep. So go read this book, and probably the other's first, and you'll see why I like it!

Reason Why: It sounded really good, and it was for sale, only $9.99, so each cent bought about 70 pages. I had to buy it!

Touching A Heart

Ok, well, I wanted to do this post Friday, but on the mini. Different post for that.

Anyways, I'm taking bio this semester, and we did the digestive system, and we're just finishing up the circulatory? system, and that includes the heart.

So Friday, the shorter day of the school week, was the day that we got the cow hearts.

It was actually pretty interesting, I could fit my hand in the cow's aorta, which I think takes the oxygenated? blood from the heart to the rest of the body, but I'm not sure. I know it's near the end of the process of getting oxygen to the blood, though!

It was a bit gross getting the fat off the heart-these are cows that are bred to go become burgers, and they had been killed 2 or 3 days earlier, so the fat was hardening, so that wasn't pleasant, but once it was off, it was fun to hold that heart in my hand.

Yep. Just wanted to let you guys know that :)

And now I have the warm doggies with me, hehe!

I Broke the Microwave

As the title suggests, I broke the microwave. Which is just something that happens to me. I was innocently making my popcorn, and then I heard this cracking.

When I go to see the microwave, what do I see but the glass cracked in the middle.

I have no idea how it happened, or why it happened, just that it happened to me.

Now, I have a question. WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME??????

If you have an answer, reply, please!

How I Suffer

Ok, so you guys know how I said I love music? Well, here's some proof. I'm in concert band, senior band, and Performing Arts (we're doing the play, Beauty and the Beast, and I'm a milkmaid :) ) For future reference, I play the clarinet.
Anyways, today was concert band. This means being at school at seven, or earlier, and starting quater after. That means getting up at 6. AM. Not fun. Add to that the fact that at the end of period 1, I started getting this headache.
My headaches can cause a lot of pain, so during the switching of classes, I took 8 advil. Hoped that the pain would go away. Fast forward to 5pm, still have that headache, take 8 more advil. Fast forward to now, 8:30ish, still have this headache.
Add to that I have to stay after school for PA till 5, or 6, depending, and you have a not so happy me.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, during cb, my clarinet was acting up. So guess what it decided to do when I was packing up?
It popped off one of the buttons, the screws too loose to keep it on. Turns out all the screws were loose. That was certainly fun. Not. But at least I found the screw right away, and the, well, he's not the teacher, but he's not the student teacher-he's been a sub for years, and he has a lot of music related jobs, yeah, him, fixed my clarinet, yeah, so it doesn't have to go in to get fixed before I start the whole day again tomorrow, wednesday, for senior band. Yeah. Not.
But anyways. Finished reading Living With the Dead by Kelley Armstrong (I'm reading the series) and moved onto Men of the Otherworld. Clay as a 8 year old is really funny! Next book on the list (not counting nano books) is Frostbitten, which will be nice, since I want to know more about Elena and Clay's kids!
Talk later! Now write!

Hello All!

Hi, I'm Louisa, and for those that know me, I don't need an intro. So I won't do one. I've done waaaay too many on wrimos (writing months) to want to do another one.

Basic facts, though.

1. I am a horrible speller, and unless grammar is pointed out to me, I probably won't notice :) (I have been caught spelling my own name wrong on occasion)

2. I am a writer. I write books. I love books. I have started who knows how many novels, and have completed 2-How it Did Fall, and The Soul Collector. I have a lot of ideas-over 200. I also read a LOT! About 1 book a day, so if I talk about a different one, well, I've probably finished the previous one already.

3. I tend to rush things, so thus that means a lot of spelling mistakes/I don't get a lot of homework :)

4. I love my doggies. And I think you'll hear about them a lot, so I won't say anything else about them right now :)

Books and Music are my loves. If I post something that doesn't involve them, well, that means something is probably up :)

Yep. That's me!
