OK, so I got 64 posts in 7 days, and it was a busy week, I read a lot, posted a fair amount about those books, and I had a pretty good time though I'm pretty tired, and there's still the rest of the month to go, though there is a 4 day weekend coming up which will be nice! Not this coming weekend, but the following one, so counting today, 9 business days. What about you guys? Happy reading!

Week 14 Review: The Deceivers

OK, so I got 37 posts in 7 days, and itw as pretty good, I read a good number of fantastic books, so I'm happy with that, but I didn't get the most sleep, which I caught up with over the weekend, but now I'm starting the week off in a bit of a bad start. Random Reads #633, January 4th

OK, so I got 76 posts in 7 days, and it was a pretty good week, the month and year wrapped up pretty great. It's tough being in a new year that Dobby will not see, as well as 5 years ago today we lost Winky, but each day happens, and once I get a bit removed from it, it'll get easier. Week 52 Review: Pacifica

From Goodreads:

But when Adam is arrested along with the other Shorlings, and not even the president is willing to find him, Ross finds himself taking matters into his own hands. He journeys back into the Docks, ready to make deals with anyone, even a beautiful pirate, if it means Adam's safe return.

When Marin and Ross meet in dangerous Shoreling territory he sees a way to get his friend back and she sees her ticket home. The ransom a president’s son would command could feed her people for years and restore her family's legacy. But somewhere in the middle of the ocean, Marin must decide if her heart can handle handing over the only person who has ever seen her as more than a pirate.

Week 36 Review: Rise Up from the Embers

From Goodreads:
Two gods are dead. The Mother Goddess has returned. War is rising. Fleeing the ruins of Deimos, Ash and Madoc sail across the ocean toward their only possible allies: the water and plant gods. But when Anathrasa attacks on the way, Ash leaps to the defense—by using a power she didn’t know she had. When Madoc made the fire and earth gods mortal, he inadvertently transferred their magic to Ash. Now, if Ash can get energeias from the other four gods, she will be powerful enough to end Anathrasa once and for all. But not all the gods want the Mother Goddess defeated. To stop her, Madoc will have to become the obedient son his mother always wanted, and Ash will have to take a merciless place among the gods. To defeat an immortal, Ash and Madoc must fight like gods—even if it means sacrificing their humanity.

My Review:
I had such a great time reading this book! I loved the first, but I just didn't get around to picking this one up, and now I have, and it was such a great end to this duology! I didn't know how they were going to win against Anathrasa, but I couldn't wait to find out! 



This was a fantastic read, and I can't wait to read more by Sara Raasch and Kristen Simmons, together and separate!
