Random Reads #422, December 19th

Random Reads is a monthly meme (that I'm going to do weekly) hosted by I'm Loving Books to read some books that have been on our TBR piles for a long time. Using Random.org, I got 1828 which turned out to be Retro Demonology by Jana Oliver! It's been on my TBR pile since November 7th, 2011, and I added it because I enjoy her writing! Happy reading!

The Story: The series sound really fantastic, and yeah, I went and got the first two from the library, and I was just so exited to read them, they were part of a pretty great series, and I enjoyed all of them so much! I can't wait to reread it!

OK, so I got 30 posts in 7 days, and man, was this another good week! And what a great one coming up! What about you guys? Happy reading!

Gwen’s life has been a rollercoaster since she discovered she was the Ruby, the final member of the secret time-traveling Circle of Twelve. Week 5 Review: Foretold

My Review:
Oh, this was a really fantastic book! Like Riley and Beck are like, an official couple by the end of this book, and yeah, we got to learn a ton about Beck, and yeah, this book was just so freaking good! I loved it so much!

I enjoyed that beginning, where they're at Beck's home town, and the things that we learn about him? Yeah, they are things that have been a mystery from, like, the beginning, so it was just so good to learn this things! I was so excited!

These characters! They are so real, like Beck's mom, Sadie, she wasn't much of a mother, or a human being, and that's what made her real. But she hurt Beck, so I didn't like her at all! Ori and Simon pretty much redeemed themselves, in this book, too, which was nice to read!

That ending, I enjoyed it a lot, things were wrapped up. Mostly. Riley still owes the favour to heaven, so while we probably won't see what she'll have to do because of that, well, we know it's there, and we can imagine some adventures for her!

Foretold was a really great ending to this wonderful series, I enjoyed it so much, and I can't wait to read more Jana Oliver books!

Week 30 Review: Forgiven

My Review:
This was such a great book! I loved reading it, such a great book! I mean, Riley's been through a lot, and it's still not done! Between the battle of Heaven and Hell, well, that's enough for anybody. But that's not all that's going on in Riley's life!

Oh, Simon, you are such an asshole. You might not know it, but she's the reason why you're alive. And then you tell the Vatican Demon Hunters that she's working with Hell, when she has a promise to Lucifer, and worked with Heaven to bring you back to life! So not the right thing to do!

Beck kisses Riley! Finally! That's something that I've been waiting for since the first book! So yeah, I really enjoyed that a lot! Too bad that they couldn't stay with that, but bad things are happening! And Riley was pretty badass, facing off Lucifer and Michael!

I had a bad feeling about Ori, and it was confirmed in this book, which was too bad for Riley, she liked spending time with him, and then he did this to her. He might have good reasons, but that doesn't cancel out the pain he caused here.

Oh, man, this was such a great book, I enjoyed it so much, and I can't wait for the final book!
