EM WATTS IS GONE.

Emerson Watts didn’t even want to go to the new SoHo Stark Megastore grand opening. But someone needed to look out for her sister, Frida, whose crush, British heartthrob Gabriel Luna, would be singing and signing autographs there-along with the newly appointed Face of Stark, teen supermodel sensation Nikki Howard.\

How was Em to know that disaster would strike, changing her-and life as she’d known it-forever? One bizarre accident later, and Em Watts, always the tomboy, never the party princess, is no longer herself. Literally.

Now getting her best friend, Christopher, to notice that she’s actually a girl is the least of Em’s problems.

But what Em’s pretty sure she’ll never be able to accept might just turn out to be the one thing that’s going to make her dream come true.

NIKKI HOWARD IS HERE TO STAY.
Gator Fontenot of the Special Forces paranormal squad must reel in the elusive Iris "Flame" Johnson, a victim of the same horrific experiments that warped Gator--and a red-haired weapon of unimaginable destructive powers bent on revenge in the sultry bayous of New Orleans. But can two people haunted by violent betrayals trust the passion that soon ignites between them? Or is one of them just playing another seductive and deadly night game?
Baalboden has been ravaged. The brutal Commander's whereabouts are unknown. And Rachel, grief stricken over her father's death, needs Logan more than ever. With their ragged group of survivors struggling to forge a future, it's up to Logan to become the leader they need—with Rachel by his side. Under constant threat from rival Carrington's army, who is after the device that controls the Cursed One, the group decides to abandon the ruins of their home and take their chances in the Wasteland.

But soon their problems intensify tenfold: someone—possibly inside their ranks—is sabotaging the survivors, picking them off one by one. The chaos and uncertainty of each day puts unbearable strain on Rachel and Logan, and it isn't long before they feel their love splintering. Even worse, as it becomes clear that the Commander will stop at nothing to destroy them, the band of survivors begins to question whether the price of freedom may be too great—and whether, hunted by their enemies and the murderous traitor in their midst, they can make it out of the Wasteland alive.

In this daring sequel to Defiance, with the world they once loved forever destroyed, Rachel and Logan must decide between a life on the run and standing their ground to fight.
The Never is a place of greys, a world a breath beyond our own, layered just past the memories of yesterday and the fleeting present moment. It is here, in this dismal limbo, that ghosts such as Piotr, Lily, and Elle must sort out an existence, both protecting the children called Lost and themselves from the walking darkness that is the army of rotting Walkers.

Caught between her duty to her calling as the Lightbringer and her concern for her new ghostly friends, Wendy must walk the line between the two worlds, aiding Piotr in his fight against the Walkers as well as searching out the wandering soul of the one who means the most to her. Time, however, is running out and in the end... who will she choose?
After losing her mother to a vigilante killer, Terri Mitchell has dedicated her life to justice. Working covertly as a new agent for the Bureau of American Defense agency, she’s consulting with the New Orleans Police Department to bust an organized crime ring suspected of funding terrorism. But when rumors surface of a phantom ghost terrorizing and killing the very people she’s investigating, she’s suspicious.

Nathan Drake has spent his life protecting his family, the only thing that matters to him...until the most feared drug lord in the southeast takes everything Nathan holds dear. Now he’s a man on a mission with nothing to lose. He figures he only needs to stay alive long enough to protect the innocent lives the killers are out to destroy. As Terri and Nathan seek their own brand of justice, they are drawn deep into an evil underbelly that cuts through all levels of society. Now two people who have no reason to trust must do so or die. And if they die, a deadly attack will be unleashed on thousands of innocent people...

Week 42 Review: Bound to You

From Goodreads:
Toni’s life is just one complication after another. First, her past comes back to her, then she has to deal with a psycho, and now it’s the biggest of them all. A choice that could destroy one life and be the bright future to the other.
How is a girl supposed to choose between two men that she loves?

On one hand, she has the Greek god Hades, the love from her past and the other, Ben the hot Vampire nurse that she met just over a week ago. Both have captured her heart in their own individual ways but whose love is the greatest?

Who does she ultimately love the most?

In the end, a decision is made in Bound to You...

My Review:
Wow, I really enjoyed this book a lot! And I liked who Toni's choice! I'm pretty sure that this is the shortest book of the series so far, but in the back, it did say that the guy that she didn't chose was going to get a book or two, which are either in the same series, or a spin off, so yeah, there's that!

Yeah, between Hades and Ben, Toni has a hard choice to make! And well, she doesn't act too nice to either one as she was making her choice, like sleeping with Ben on Hades' desk, and then having Hades walk in. Not the best decision all around!

When she was with Ben, and she was having that date thing, and then it turns out that she was doing that because she'd picked Hades? And then there were misunderstandings? That was just a tiny bit hilarious!

I felt bad for all the parties involved, because their hearts were in this, and yeah, it sucked that Toni had to make that choice in the first place. But she had a life, even if she didn't have her old memories. So yeah, that just was a big thing of this book!

I enjoyed this book so much, it was just so cute and awesome, and I hope we see more Toni and Hades in the future books in the series, or the spin off series!

Unbound: Review and Giveaway

From Goodreads:
Toni went from being a doctor, to the lover of a god in an instant. Remembering who she was, she's now torn between her past self and her current love. Ben is stunned when Toni leaves and at the arrival of his long lost love, Catherine, but her arrival doesn't eradicate Toni from his mind. Unlikely allies will team up to get Toni back from the Lord of the Underworld, Hades, but it's not Hades they need to worry about.

My Review:
While this book wasn't as fun to read as Bound to Remember, it was still a great book, and totally enjoyable, it just wasn't on the same level as Bound to Remember. But then, it was a little bit shorter by about 10 pages or so, which means that the wait for the 3rd book will be longer, and that'll be a good thing!

Well, after the cliffhanger in Bound to Remember, I really wanted to read this book! And Unbound really picked up where Bound to Remember left off, but there were parts where I was going, why don't you do something, characters, you have a plan, stick to it, but to their favour, all these things were happening, like finding out a character's mother, and yeah, the bad guys keep coming in for some reason. I don't really know now, maybe to check that they haven't escaped? But yeah, really enjoyed reading this book!

We got to explore Tori's past, and find out all about the memory wiping thing, and changing locations and memories and physical appearances every 10 years or so, and the reason why-because she's...engaged, yeah that's the word closet to the situation-to Hades, Lord of the Underworld. And while we briefly met him in Bound to Remember, this book really explored him, and the Persephone myth, and his and Tori's relationship, that was quite fun to read!

An the cliffhanger on this book, where Tori has to make a choice just mere hours after almost dying, and one that I don't think she's quite ready to make yet, well, that's going to be a lot of fun to read, so I hope the next book is going on tour too so I  can read it!!!

Unbound was a really great book, so I hope you guys have a chance to read it-it has great characters and plots and everything!

Bio:
Lola James has been reading romance novels since her teens, and fell in love with the paranormal after discovering Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Her love of the dark worlds of vampires and witches, as well as her fascination with Greek mythology led her to create the Spellbound Series, an ongoing Paranormal Romance combining all of the above into tales of suspense with a little bit of humor in an Urban Fantasy setting.

A long time lover of reading and writing with a passion for a great story, James became discouraged by the complicated and arbitrary publishing process, James had initially set down her laptop and her hopes of being a writer. However, with the purchase of her first e-reader, James became re-energized by the new possibilities for an undiscovered author to reach the masses. Dusting off her keyboard she finally finished Bound to Remember, the first book of the Spellbound Series and self-published it. Energized and ambitious, James is now hard at work on both the Spellbound Series as well as the Fate Series, a paranormal romance about dreams and what happens if they come true.

Living in Southern California with her husband and three beautiful children, James finds time to write in between her full-time job as a mother and wife as well as her other full-time job as an HR manager, as well as her academic schedule as she studies for her Master's degree which she hopes to complete in 2013. With the success of Bound to Remember, James hopes to continue to reach an audience that will allow her to leave her HR job and focus on her writing as a full time career.

When they are paired up for his orientation, Toni find's she can’t take her eyes off Ben either, he's just too irresistible.

Enter Kevin Cooper, Toni's sexy but arrogant Ex. Kevin can’t help but be jealous when Ben arrives with eyes for Toni.

An unexpected kiss between Toni and Ben heats up but fizzles when Ben's secret is revealed… yep he’s a vampire.

Ben insists that Toni is in danger knowing what he is and in order to keep herself safe she in list the help of her best friend, a self-proclaimed witch named of Annie. Annie is eager to help but she has a little more than magic up her sleeve…

My Review:
Man, was this a fantastic read! Amazing characters, and writing that is just incredible, and a wonderful plot that has everything that anyone could want, discovery of the paranormal world, romance, conflict in romance, betrayal, and a shocking secret! And star-crossed lovers, with an ending, well, I want to read the next book now!

Being introduced to this world, in one word, is amazing. I know there's a lot of supernatural worlds out in the books being published every day, but what makes this one special, is the characters, from Ben, Nurse Hero, to Tori, who takes things in quite well, to the shock of the cliffhanger ending, that is what makes this book spectacular!

Plot wise, this book was pretty darn spectacular, to the betrayals, and the revelations, and the discoveries, and all that, having characters to hate, like Kevin, to characters to love, like Ben and Tori, that just lead to a really great book!

I absolutely loved this book, it was just fantastic, so you guys should really check it out!
