My Review:
Yeah, wow, this book was a really awesome read! The whole concept behind this collection is fighting back against the patriarchy, which is pretty awesome. The patriarchy sometimes makes me boil at the unfairness. So taking it on in stories, I just had to read it!

I enjoyed all of these stories. There was one where the ending, I didn't like so much, it was pretty well written, but the story itself...it was good but I didn't like the direction that it went. Because oh, there are going to be consequences for this and it's not fair!

The first story is about 3 pages long. And there's 2 I believe that are more poetry. So there's a few variations so I never knew what to expect, how many more pages were left for each story. It had me racing and devouring this book!

I don't have a clear stand out favourite. This collection was pretty great, but it was about even, there weren't any over the top wow's for me. And that's OK, because like I said, these stories were all at a pretty high level, all together. That's kinda better too, rather than have a stand out, and a bunch of just OK stories. Yep.

Loved this collection, it was an amazing read!

OK, so I got 17 posts in 7 days, which is a pretty decent week, and I'm pretty much in a good place,  blogging wise. Almost. Just a few more things to do to be fully caught up! What about you guys? Happy reading!

Week 34 Review: The Truth Lies Here

My Review:
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I loved the mystery, and I loved the characters, of how Penny was the skeptic and Dex is the believer, and they mentioned that they were like the X-Files lead characters, which was so fun to read!

Penny used to believe in all of this, and she used to believe in her dad. But when her dad was going to pretend a bear was Big Foot or something, she stopped. And that's understandable, but it was still sad, the breakdown of their relationship. But coming back home for the summer, to write a article that'll get her into the college she wants to go to, yeah, that's kinda a big deal!

A big part of this book was looking back at the past. Because the breakdown of her parents marriage, it didn't start a year before they got divorced, but much earlier. Given that it's why she and one of her friends became enemies, basically, yeah, it was kinda important to her!

I really enjoyed how it all came together! All the weird stuff, all the different clues, it all came together in a pretty intense ending! Loved how it all worked out, and that while things aren't perfect, they're all healing from the various wounds, physical and emotional!

This book was so awesome, it was so great to read!

My Review:
Wow, I really enjoyed this book! It was different, enraging, and I was really fascinated by everything that was going on-it was just so readable! And like the synopsis says, this is a fantasy tale upside down, because it was strangers exploring Earth instead of someone exploring a new world!

Really enjoyed these characters! Liv with her issues that turn out to connect her to this world, Cedric who's supposed to be a ruler, but has doubts, Kat the warrior and voice of reason, and all the others, they were real and it was so easy to read their adventures!

I really enjoyed this world of Guardians and the world of Caelum, and the bad guys, and how things worked, and the keys. The history that was learned, the two forces that they have to deal with, which makes things more complicated in that ending!

There were parts that were hard to read. Like the way that they treated Liv. And the attitudes and actions of the one group, what they did, was horrible! Oh, and one of the bad guys, that twist at the end, that was pretty gut-wrenching!

Loved this book, and with that ending, I definitely want the sequel! Which hopefully will have an equally beautiful cover!
