I Wrote 40 Reviews Today

I wanted to up my New Years goal to 5 reviews a day, and I'd already done that for 2 days. So I just had to write today's reviews early, which I did at 12 in the morning, and then write 15 reviews. Thatw as done around 10 AM. And then I just kept going!

I have almost finished up November 2013, there's 4 reviews that are actually posted in November 2013, the other 12 or so, are rereads, or other books in the series. And then I can move onto March 2012, finally, and then that'll probably be done pretty quickly, seeing as the reviews will be shorter!

I'm tired, after all that writing, but I'm also excited. 40 is a pretty big number, a pretty big dent in the reviews to be written, I mean, I still have to estimate that I have around 1000 left to do, but I know it's less than that. I just have to go through each page of reviews, and write those that I haven't yet, and just keep going! I really think I can make my goal of having all of my reviews up by May!

So these are what I wrote, the ones with more then 2 books are bracketed: Falling Kingdoms, Burning Blue, Stay With Me, Splintered, (Daimon, Half-Blood, Pure, Deity, Elixir, Apollyon, Sentinel), Apollyon, Deity and Elixir, Icons, Unbreakable, Being Nikki and Runaway, Airhead, (Divergent, Free Four, Insurgent, Allegiant), The Wicked Within, A Beautiful Evil, Dirty Little Secret, Just Like Fate, Fates, Shadow of the Mark, High Five, Four to Score, Three to Get Deadly, Two for the Dough, One for the Money, (Vesper, Havoc, Ravage), Havoc, Vesper, (Career Day, I Hunt Killers, Game), United We Spy, Double Crossed and Perfect Scoundrels, Out of Sight, Out of Time, Only the Good Spy Young, Don't Judge a Girl By Her Cover, Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy, I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You, Uncommon Criminals, Sweet Legacy, Endless Knight, Sweet Shadows, Sweet Venom, Just For Fins.

Yeah. 40 reviews. Plus, I read 2 books, had a nap, and did a job. But it is a weekend day, so I had a lot of free time on my hands! Now time to sleep!

So yeah, tired, but excited! How was your guys' day? Happy reading! And review writing!

A Few Random Things

So I have a few things that I've been meaning to mention for a a while, on some of them, so I'll itemize them!

  • This week's reviews, the ones that are written, any ways, and some that are partially done, have favourite lines. Which means that I either a) wrote some of the review while I was reading the book or b) made a note of the page(s) so I could go back and add it. I hope to have this is more of my reviews as time goes on, because it means that I'm keeping up with my reviews! Sorry about having some not done!
  • Which leads to my next point. From Tuesday on, besides the Garden of Ashes review, the posts don't have the content. I blame work, as we had a min of 3 jobs a day, and a max of 6. All of which is without a computer-but not without a book. So I'll do my best to add the content later today, as it is past midnight here, and yeah.
  • Another thing about reviews, that I've been meaning to mention for a while, is song(s) for a book, whether it's something that I was listening to while reading a book and I just put it on repeat, or I was reading a book, and remembered some lyrics reminded me of the book, and yeah, just listening to it on repeat, so that sometimes, when I hear the song later, I can remember parts of the book. The first time this happened, it was the Kelly Clarkson Breakaway CD, and these 3 books. A notable one for me is Haven't Had Enough by Marianas Trench, and Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder. Both are favourites, extremely, I've listened to that song over 10,000 times, even with my computer's memory being wiped/replaced again and again. The most recent that I remember, is Dark Horse by Katy Perry, and The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson. So whenever I say that a song is a book's, this is what I mean!
  • I had a book idea that I can more clearly see myself writing. Just an idea, and I'd have to come up with a title, and do a little bit of research into rare, terminal illnesses/disease. And if I want to set it now, sometimes in the future, sometime in the future with humans on another planet something like the Linked duo? The main thing is her figuring out what happened to her, but yeah, hmm, just writing this makes me want to connect to another idea that I had, on this idea I had reading Dangerous Tides by Christine Feehan, and how Libby's a healer, and a interaction between Libby, Ty, and his cousin, what if a bad guy had the ability to heal and make you forget the pain you experienced at their hands, especially mentally, so you wouldn't know how badly they actually treated you. Both have some medical elements, and I could shift some things around...I like this. Hopefully I'll write it! But no guarantees, seeing as this is me, and I seem to be on book phases, reading, writing, and blogging. And my writing one ended about 2, 2 1/2  years ago.

Yeah. So those are my random little things that I wanted to say. What about you guys? Happy reading!

Random Thought...

I'm insane. Well, I'm 1 person, and it feels to me like I'm trying to read half of the books ever written in the past 5 years or so. Which I can't do. So I'm going to try reading less-at least till I catch up, and bring a little balance, because this is the 3rd time this has happened (first reading a lot, then writing a lot, now blogging a lot, I'd do it a lot, and then basically burn out, and I don't want that) which is why I want balance. So I'm going to try reading a little, writing a little, and blogging a little, plus college. Because yeah, I'm still me, and I'm still insane. I'll try to lower the levels of said insanity though!

So goals:

Reading/Blogging:
-read a book a day
-catch up on memes/challenges
-write reviews for the past 2 years almost now!!!!!
-keep up to date!!!!!
-update Netgalley sheet of titles
-Manage epubs
-Keep up with Tuebl books and requests

Writing:
-sketch out idea with influences from Born of Fire and the weird movie-by the end of October
-create title for above idea
-write above idea during NaNoWriMo!
-edit above book after finished-by March!
-choose another idea to write after above book is halfway done editing
-write 2nd idea

Random:
-Catch up music plays from when hard drive had to be replaced
-get music that I want
-Watch some TV
-Catch up on shows cancelled before I started watching them, or only watched a few episodes, or it's been forever since I've seen them (Alias, Angel, Blue Bloods, Cold Case, the CSI's, Ghost Whisper, Glee, Grimm, Kim Possible, Liberty's Kids, Missing, NCIS, Numb3rs, Pretty Little Liars, Private Practice, Ringer, Sinbad, Switched at Birth, Teen Wolf,  The Following, and The Good Wife are most of the shows I need/want to watch!)
-Start and Finish all 3 online college courses!!!!!
-Keep apartment/room clean!

Ok, here's to hoping that I can accomplish these goals!

I Have an Update! #16, October 9th

What I'm Writing: I'm writing Genetic Mess Up, and Changed Rules, plus some of the regular guys. Genetic Mess Up is about the upper class experimenting on their children's DNA and causing them to crave human flesh, not becoming zombies, because they aren't dead, and they eat on the poor. Changed Rules is the sequel to How to Play the Game, with more focus on the good vampires, and all that. It's going to be fun!

New Plots:
What Will Be, Will Be: You can’t change fate, fate is unmoving. But when someone wants to change it, they have a chance. First they have to have a logical reason for changing it, a personal reason, and a counter reason of why not to change. And then they have to fight for that change. Will they win, or will they fail?
Maybe, Maybe Not: After the conclusion of What Will Be, Will Be, they thought that they had changed fate. But fate has another trick. They now have to watch the world as it would be if it hadn’t been changed, and another where it was. Then they have to decide-was the change worth it or not.

Montly Word Count: 100 540 words. So pretty good!

New Plots:

Open Windows: what’s something that open windows let in? Dreams, dreams and nightmares. That’s why there’s dream catchers. But sometimes, those don’t work. And you get the bad dreams. What’s the source, you might ask. Well, we’re not telling, because it’s hard enough keeping the truth from getting out. We’re not about to go an cause a mass panic, after all!

Monthly Word Count: 171 439 words. Pretty good. But I need more time!

New Titles: Watch Me Die, and Broken to Be Fixed

New Plots:
Watch Me Die: In a world where it takes several days-up to a month-to die, the world is starting to crumble. Then the alvakes come, and more people are dying, till there is hardly anybody left. Is there a way to save them?

Broken to Be Fixed: Alexa has never been able to walk. But nobody really cares-she was just created in a lab, for the sole purpose to find a way to cure spinal cord injuries. But they tried too soon, too fast, and made mistakes, and left her with an almost worst condition-her spine was shattered, but is still held together, but just barely. And it can’t be fixed, unlike the other injuries, because she’d die if it was. But when a new technology comes out, she has a chance. Will she take it and be another experiment, or will she break free from being regarded so low?

Monthly Word Count: 184 323 words. I've been busy!

I Have an Update! #8, August 14th

What I'm Writing: nothing different from last week, been very busy!

New Titles: I have a new title, Vitality Apathy.

New Plots:
Caught Dead Here: There are a few places that, you just wouldn’t want to be. Is it because of how bad they are, and the rep that they have? Or is it the feeling that, you shouldn’t be here? Or is it, you can’t say where you’ll be when you die, and you try and keep away from those that might not be so favorable? But when you die, you don’t always have a choice as to where you go. I didn’t…

Vitality Apathy: A girl who at 16, remembers her past lives, and the past 1000 years or so, and gains her powers back, like shape shifting-she had this one life where she was a cat-and she is placed in lives where she can help, and sometimes, there are more then 1 copy of a family, though in different circumstances, that she has to balance her time between. Various problems, boy trouble (she’s had a lot of boyfriends, and some husbands, too) and then she comes up to a problem.

Monthly Word Count: 126 870 words. Still been very busy, but oh, well.

I Have an Update! #5, July 24th

What I'm Writing: What Happened Then, Happens Now, Reason of Rhyme, and a new book, Safe Room, which is explained below.

New Plots:
Safe Room: They held tickets to go on the most expensive cruise in the world-into outer space. They went to their rooms. And then they heard the screams. What is killing the other rooms, and can they get it before it gets them? And who are the mysterious group who went from room to room before the cruise set off, and now are randomly popping into those same rooms? Each room isolated, who will survive, and what will they do in order to insure their safety?
Reality < Lies: How do you know what is reality, and what is lies? How do you break out of the computer world where you’re taped into, when you don’t remember that you have to? And how much longer can you survive in the computer if there’s a limited supply of food outside, and everyone wants out after you told them?
The Corner of a Round Room: It’s the round room. When you’re bad, you go to it. It’s round, but at the very top, there’s a point. A corner, people say. A corner in the round room. They say, that once, there was 2 rooms. A good room, the corner room, and a bad room, the circle room. But now there’s only the round room. What happened to the corner room, and why did it merge to the round room?
Naive King: What’s the making of a good king? That he’s wise, and able to do what is best for his kingdom, so that the land and the people prosper. Then along comes the Naïve King. Who’s going to be the one to teach him to become the king he could be? And who will try and take advantage of the King’s current weakness? And who’s the girl who pops up everywhere, sometimes helping, and sometimes causing trouble?
Why Not Love?: Well, for one thing, it’s forbidden. The Cursed are the ones who love, they become emotional, and they don’t care too much about anything else but their love. So all emotions where banned, and every 6 months, each person over 18 and under 40 are harvested for their DNA for new children to be created in the tube. But then why isn’t the population changing? When new thoughts start to overtake their minds, the people have a choice. Why not love?

Monthly Word Count: 244 589 words, so pretty good week, and I'm happy with it!

Little Excerpt

Well, I just wrote a bit in my camp nano, Reason of Rhyme, and I'd like to post it here, to see what you guys think about it.

“Hey, Rhyme, do you always speak in rhymes?” Simon inquired.

Rhyme shrugged, then said, “again in time, always, till the end of days.”

“Really, till you die? That seems a bit…like you like rhyming. From what I know of the English language, it must be hard to keep rhyming. I guess that’s why you don’t speak half the time.”

“I rhyme, I speak, it doesn’t make me weak, I talk and use words, that doesn’t make me a nerd.”

“Maybe, maybe not. Jury’s still out on that.”

“Oh, leave the kid alone, Simon!” Hollered Kitty.
