My first review of Career Day, I Hunt Killers, Game
My Review:
I really enjoyed reading these books again! And then getting to read the end of the trilogy, yeah, that was really fantastic! The idea of a son of a serial killer using his knowledge to investigate crimes, yeah, it's a fantastic concept!

It was very interesting to read the short stories set before the main trilogy. Like, we learn about Jazz's mom in Down Time, which makes it easier to accept what we learned in Game, and the events that happen in Blood of My Blood. I also really enjoyed being in Connie and Howie's heads!

I remembered some of the big twists in I Hunt Killers and Game, like their drama teacher became a victim, and that there was the Hat killer and the Dog killer. But reading these books again, yeah, it was so fantastic!

Blood of My Blood, I was really excited to read, because yeah, the ending of Game was just evil! So much happened, and it was great to have those cliffhangers resolved, but there was still all the crimes that Jazz was committing. Oh, and the big reveals that came, like who the Crow King was! So good to read!

Loved this series so much, it was such a great read!

Week 50 Review: The Broken Vow

My Review:
Yeah, this book was so fantastic to read! We got to learn so much more, like Jae and the other spill zone. And yeah, it's kinda an important detail! We learned more about Vespertine and the world she escaped from, and why this all happened. Yeah. A lot went on!

Honestly, there was a lot of back and forth with this book. Well, kinda. Yeah, Vespertine should've been angry with the dude for killing her parents, but then it turns out that he had a good reason. And they could've had a good ending, but that would've meant Lexa leaving behind Addison. Not happening!

That ending! Wow, it seemed pretty nice and relaxed (and it was so weird to see Lexa as a teenager!) and then it was cool and epic, and then there was the last few pages, and then we find out who she was texting. That was an awesome ending! Though I still would love more, like an explanation of what happened and it worked given the collapse of the spill zone!

I do wish that we could've learned more about this world, about why Vespertine's parents did what they did, the rules, what Vespertine looked like and more, because it seems so interesting, and like we only got the tip of the iceberg, and there's so much more to explore. And I want to explore it!

Loved reading this book, and I wouldn't mind another sequel!

Week 49 Review: Moonlight Scandals

My Review:
This book was a fantastic read! I loved reading about these two, they were such a great couple! Plus there were all the mysteries, and those were so great to investigate! And in the end, we also got a brief look into what the characters lives were like, which was really fantastic!

I loved the relationship between Devlin and Rosie! Sparks just flew, and if you remember their first meeting in the end of the last book, yeah, so do the words. These two do not get along, and yet, they work, in a very emotionally charged way, either from anger or passion. Whew!

There were so many reveals in this book, going all the way back to the first book and the mystery surrounding the de Vincent patriarch's death. Since we know he wasn't the elder 2 brothers dad. We also get to find out who their dad is. So a lot happens in this book!

I really enjoyed the ending, it was a pretty tense scene, with some pretty relevant facts coming to light, and plenty of threats to go around. It was also really satisfying. All in all, it gave me everything that I wanted from this book and this series!

Loved reading this book, and yeah, it was a great ending to the series!

My Review:
I loved reading this series again! It's just so interesting and campy, the whole concept of a werewolf as a radio host. There were a few books that I'd basically forgotten what had happened, like Kitty's Big Trouble, but I remembered some about ones like Kitty's House of Horrors, which is a big reason why I read the series again.

A big part of this series is the question of what it means to be human, and can you be human when you're a monster? I loved how she used her show as a platform to ask questions both because of this and to help her solve the various problems she was facing. She also made sure to dash peoples romantic fantasies about being a werewolf or a vampire, because yeah, it's tough!

Each of these books builds upon the next. Not always to advance the main plot with Dux Bellorum's cult, but things that helped Kitty grow as a person, and to make friends that did ultimately help. Which was good!

The main complaint that I have is that the vampires really didn't help in the last big battle. Sure, Rick and his trio helped, but the vampires from Europe didn't really do anything. Given their age, that would've been great, but they didn't do anything. Oh, well!

I just loved this series, and I really hope we get more books in the Cormac series! I'm hopeful!
