Some of My Goals

So for some reason, I feel like I should put up a list of goals for me to work on. I've had things going on, and I've been picturing it like juggling-working with a certain amount of things, and adding more once the first things were going steadily. So yeah, here are some of my goals!

  • Catch up on 2012/2013 reviews! Rereading books read then is helpful, because then the book is fresh in my mind, and I write 2 reviews, which I'm happy about! But I still have a lot to do, and I would love it if I was done by the end of this year, but my goal is to have them done before my birthday, May 24th, which is just over 7 months to do 1300 or so reviews. I hope to do this!
  • Do meme posts. Not just the template stuff, since that's up to the first week of January, but the actual content. Don't want to have pretty much empty posts!
  • Read review books on time, whether it's review books from authors or publishers, review tours, NetGalley, or Edelweiss! I have a lot of catch up, but I need to start working on the future stuff, too!
  • Emails! This is one of the first "balls" that I worked on, and yeah, I just have to maintain them, all 3 of them, dealing with every email that isn't spam!
  • My Links of Posts page, I don't want to have any more TBC on any of the listed posts. But I also want to have every author who I've read at least 3 of their books, or am planning on it (like series that I haven't quite gotten around to reading yet, of which there are a few.) But first, I have to get the J-T authors unbolded done. Then I can add new ones! Which is going to kinda suck, but yeah, I want to have a label for each author that I'm going to be reading with some regularity!
  • Music! Put things like they were before all the replaced hard drives! Get the Glee music I want, the movie soundtracks, especially Disney ones, that I like!
  • Catch up on watching shows that aren't current, stay current in current shows!
  • Keep files regularly back up on stick, while updating them as often as possible, ie books! And pictures of the covers of books!
OK, I can't think of anything else at the moment, so yeah, these are some goals to stick to! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So for this Pick Your Thon, my goals are:

Reading: I want to read Breaking Point, The Jewel, Live to See Tomorrow, Last Kiss Goodnight, Black and Blue,  Demon from the Dark, Warrior, Sunrise, The Heart of Christmas, Panic, The Legacy of Eden, Blackbird, Witchstruck, Witchfall, The Burning Sky, White Space, The Taking, Unremembered, Inferno, Passion, Foretold, Crystal Fire, The Testing, Dead Time, All About You, Dangerous Tides, Safe Harbor, Beautiful Creatures, Dead Witch Walking, In A Handful of Dust, Death Sworn, Silver Shadows, After the End, Insignia, The Fear Trials, The Murder Complex, Brutal Youth, Take Back the Skies, Angel Burn, Far in the Wilds, A Spear of Summer Grass, Ice Hunt, Ask Again Later, Salvage, The High Priestess, Queen of Swords, Queen of Wands, The Half Life of Molly Pierce, Push, Kiss of the Highlander, Inbetween,
Luminosity, Burn Out, 17 First Kisses, Stitching Snow, Snow Like Ashes, and Sleep No More.

So I know I'm not going to read all of these books, but I want to read at least 18 books!

Reviewing: I want to review

-Finish January 2012 reviews (week 3 and 4)
-Finish December 2013 reviews (week 50 and 51)
-Reviews of the books that I'm reading now for the thon

So that's about 30 or so reviews! Hopefully I'll get them! What about you guys? Happy reading!

Next Milestone Reached!

Yes! I've been talking about it for a while, but now I've finally made it-I've written reviews for all 2014 reviews! So that final push of over 50 reviews really helped, and yeah, now to work on the last 2-all of 2013 reviews, and all of 2012 reviews, which I have been working on if I reread the book this year, because why not review the book while it's fresh in my mind? So yeah, I'm a bit happier, this burden is gone, yeah!!

Bout of Books 10.0 Goals

Bout of Books
So my goals this time, are to read 14 books. Hopefully!! And I'm also going to be reviewing, too, and my goals for that, are 50 reviews, so 10 a day.

And the books I want to read are:

The Secret Diamond Sisters by Michelle Madow, The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau, Angel Fever by L.A. Weatherly, Unchosen by Michelle Vail, The Body in the Woods by April Henry, Far From You by Tessa Sharpe, Ruthless Game by Christine Feehan, This Side of Salvation by Jeri Smith-Ready, Precious Blood by Tonya Hurley, The Demoness of Waking Dream by Stephanie Chong, Sunrise by Mike Mullin, At Any Turn by Brenna Aubrey, The Liberator by Victoria Scott, Silent Truth by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love, Fuse by Julianna Baggott, The Dare by Hannah Jayne, V is for Villain by Peter Moore, Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins, Article 5 by  Kristen Simmons, A Dawn Most Wicked by Susan Dennard, Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard, In Seconds by Brenda Novak.

The reviews I will write, are all the 2014's that I haven't yet, and the ones that are going to be, like of these books I'm going to read, so week 20, and weeks 1 to 6. Yep.

Which I admit, is more then 14 books, but this is what I want to read this week, so yeah.

What about you guys? Happy reading!!!

Sophomore Reading Challenge 2013 Sign Up and Goals

the Sophomore Reading Challenge 2013 (yeah!) is hosted by Chicks Love Lit, and here are the rules:

What books count towards the SRC?
Any second YA or MG book published by an author in 2013 counts – it can be the second in a series, a new series, or a standalone. The only requirement is that it is the SECOND book the author has published in the YA or MG realm (and it must publish in 2013 in your home country)! There is a Goodreads group for the challenge, which includes a selection of books that would count for the challenge – as you can see, there are probably many many books on that list you are planning on reading already :)

The list will be updated as I’m able, but please feel free to read ANY Sophomore book! It does not have to be the second book in a series, just the second YA/MG book the author has published, period.

When does the challenge run?
Books read before January 2014 count for this challenge. This includes books you may have access to now in ARC form!

Why should I join this challenge?
Reading debut novels is AWESOME. It is by far my favorite challenge – it allows me to find many new authors that I love. What better way to support these authors than to read their next published book?

What are the guidelines of the challenge?
Your challenge is to read 10 sophomore YA/MG novels in 2013. To officially participate, you need a Goodreads account or blog where you post reviews in English.

What should I do if I’m an author coming out with a sophomore novel?
I would love to feature you on my blog! Please e-mail me (shanynlee at gmail.com) and let me know if you’d like to be interviewed, featured, would like to offer a giveaway, etc.

How do I join?
Link your blog or Goodreads account here, and make a list of the sophomore novels you’re looking forward to :)

Ok, so I'll be signing up to read at least 10 Sophomore books in 2013, though I would like to at least have double that number! Some of the ones that I'm looking forward to are

-Everbound by Brodi Ashton
-Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi
-Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
-Asunder by Jodi Meadows
-Dark Triumph by R.L. LaFevers
-Fragments by Dan Wells
-Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
-Breaking Point by Kristen Simmons
-Prodigy by Marie Lu
-Deep Betrayal by Anne Greenwood Brown

Yeah, there's some really fantastic books coming out in 2013 that are sophomore books (Probably because there were such fantastic debuts this year :) ) and I can't wait for them to come out! What about you guys? Happy reading!

Bout of Books 5.0 Goals

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

Get information about goal posts and then link up your goal posts here!

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 13th and runs through Sunday, August 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 5.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. -From the Bout of Books 5.0 team

Ok, for my goals, well, I want to read a lot. I mean it. Like, from the Monday to the Friday, I've planned myself to read 4 books a day, at least. Some days are 5 books. Since I don't know what I'll be reading after Friday, to the Sunday, I'll just go with Monday-Friday books, just in case I don't read all them when I want to. So yeah, I want to read 23 books. And they are:

Origin, Pushing the Limits, The Weight of Night, The Blood Keeper, Dark Vengence, Darke, Innocent Darkness, Section 132, The Dead I Know,  The Girl is Trouble, Dark Parties, Imaginary Girls, Demon Eyes, The Forgiven Duke, Covet, Against the Sun, Almost a Scandal, White Raven, Determinant, Confessions of an Angry Girl, League of Strays, Mystic City, and The Royal Treatment.

Yeah. Can't wait to read them, because they sound really fantastic! Happy reading!
