OK, so I got 46 posts in 7 days, I had a decent week, I read an OK amount, I'm taking November a bit slow, but there's plenty to read still! Can't wait for next week! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read Dark Heir

In this riveting sequel to the New York Times bestselling novel Dark Rise, Will and his allies have survived the Dark's first assault, but at a terrible cost.

A new threat from the past is rising, and only a handful of heroes remain to fight. Pursued by dark forces, Will and his allies must leave the safety of the Hall and travel to the heart of the ancient world, making new and dangerous alliances, and revealing the shocking secrets of the past.

But Will is carrying a dark secret of his own—his true identity. Drawn to the beautiful and deadly James St. Clair, Will is pulled ever deeper into the web of the past, and finds himself tempted by the darkness within. As the ancient world threatens to return, can Will and his friends fight their fate? Or will the truths they learn tear their world apart?

Dark Heir is the explosive and highly anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestselling Dark Rise, from global phenomenon C. S. Pacat.

Week 45 Review: Dating Disasters of Emma Nash

From Goodreads:
Don't miss the laugh-out-loud novel of the year!

Online, you can choose who you want to be. If only real life were so easy…

Emma Nash may be down, but after months of wallowing, stalking her ex online and avoiding showering—because, really, who's going to care?—Emma's ready to own her newly single status, get out with her friends and chronicle her dating adventures on her private blog.

But life online doesn't always run smoothly. Stumbling upon her mother's Tinder dating profile, getting catfished and accidentally telling the entire world why her ex-boyfriend Leon's not worth any girl's…um…time… Okay, those were disasters.

But surely nothing else can go wrong?

Filled with fun, flirty encounters and heartwarming friendships, Dating Disasters of Emma Nash will shock and delight scores of readers looking for something fresh.

My Review:
I had a really good time reading this book! I loved the humour, and watching Emma getting into all sorts of crazy situations, but on the whole, contemporaries aren't really my thing, and while I enjoyed it, there wasn't quite enough in this book for it to reach the enjoyment that I usually get. I keep getting FOMO, and sometimes I'm surprised, which I have been this year.

Some of the situations that Emma got into...yeah, I'm glad I'm not her, because the anxiety, the embarrassment, it makes me shrink away. Since it's not me, I can see the humour in what she was going through, though I didn't envy her.

This is mainly realistic, though slightly exaggerated, version of what life as a teenager is like, all the ups and downs, and it didn't shy away from sex and sexual acts, which is good for teenagers to read, for it to become normalized and not something bad, per se.

There was more going on then just her romantic adventures, she had a good friend group, and a pretty solid relaitonship with her mom, so she has a support system, though the thing with her mom's dating profile, eek!

I enjoyed reading this book, and I will continue on, because I need to see how things progress and end!
