My Review:
I absolutely loved reading this book! It's the most complex, it has all 3 couples, and it's the end of the series. And while it's sad to say goodbye to these characters, it was just so enjoyable to read this book-they ended with a bang!

I really enjoyed having the story of Sofia and Gideon. We met Sofia in This Shattered World, and Gideon was mentioned, and that they had this story was just fantastic, and amazing to read! They were such awesome characters to read about!

There were quite a few twists and turns in this book, as well as action and romance, heartbreak, betrayal and trust and friends and just plain awesomeness! Everything, and I mean everything,came together, and that was so great! Just a fantastic story, epic and awesome and definitely a keeper!

Totally enjoyed all the ups and downs that made up this book, but especially the page between the chapters, which have been in all the books, and the ending. The in-betweens have always been great, and this time, we got the "whisper's" story from the beginning, and that was so great! As well as that ending, because it was just the best!

I enjoyed reading this book, so, so, so much, and I'm sad to say goodbye to this world, but I can't wait for more books by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, together and separate!

Week 50 Review: Mothership

So fine, finding a way off this ship is priority number one, but first Elvie has to figure out how Cole ended up as a commando, work together with her arch-nemesis, and figure out if she even wants to be a mother—assuming they get back to Earth in one piece.

My Review:
Such a great book! I enjoyed it so much, it was hilarious, though in reviews of the next two books, that this is the best of the series, that it gets worse, but I'm going to be optimistic! Though it is going to be hard to top the awesomeness that was this book!

The format of this book was to have a portion of the book in the current time, with Elvie pregnant on the ship, and then when things got going, leave it on a cliffhanger, and then going back to important bits that lead her to being on the ship. Which was informative and annoying that we got taken away from the action, which made me read faster!

Elvie was just a really awesome character! She was smart, she knew what she wanted, and she was strong, she got through being 16 and pregnant, pretty much on her own besides her best friend Ducky and her dad, who was so funny with his preparations for crises!

The whole world of aliens and baby switching and infertile moms after alien babies, it was interesting, if not great for the moms, who were chosen, and that totally sucks, because they're so young. But then there was the life and death stuff, as well as the shocker that Elvie had a daughter!

Really great book, hilarious, and I can't wait to read more!

Week 47 Review: Winter

My Review:
Man, it was just so great to read this book! A bid sad, because we have to say goodbye to the characters, but they had such a great run in this series, so they deserve their happiness! And this book gave them that in the end!

So this was a big humongous book. It has the main characters Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and now Winter narrating, which is really great, as we've been introduced to them, the books have been getting bigger, and this is the final book with everything going on. So yeah. Glad that it was over 800 pages!

I loved all the ups and downs! There were a lot of moving pieces to this book, from Winter being with Levana and then not, Cinder and her friends and trying to take her throne. Add their guys, and that was a lot of moving parts!

There were some pretty hard parts, like Levana using her power to control everybody that she could to harm Cinder. That she deliberately made Winter sick so she'd spread it to kill off the rebels. But that ending was really great and people got happy endings.

One review that I saw mentioned Cinder's plans of giving up her throne. But if the roles were reversed, if Kai was the one with the Lunar throne, he would've given it up, because the Lunars, with their gifts, makes it a bad idea to have a single ruler. Yep.

I really enjoyed this book, and I can't wait to read what Marissa Meyer writes next!

My Review:
Yeah, I loved reading this book! It was supposed to come before Born of Defiance, but I'm glad that things worked out the way that they did, because Talyn and Felicity finally got to have their happy ending! Yeah!

I really enjoyed Fain and Galene's book! They were just characters that I wanted to read about. Fain's been in previous instalments, but Galene's really only been in the series since Defiance, so we didn't get to know her too well. Not that we really know Fain all that well before this!

This is the book where we get to have a bit of the war. Only a bit, because it was only declared two chronological books ago since Defiance mostly happens before Born of Night. But things are gearing up, and why Fain and Galene were thrown together again! Just so awesome!

OK, mind blown! Sherrilyn Kenyon has pulled another Styxx, and made a guy that we thought was totally unredeemable, well, redeemed! And if you've read this book, then you know who I'm talking about! I can't wait to see their story in the next book! Note to self, whenever a so called bad guy survives the book, there's a chance that they could have this happen! Not all the time, but a chance, because oh, boy!

Loved this book so much, and I'm so excited, because we're going to get his book, the guy that I'm talking about, and I'm just so darned excited for that!

My Review:
Reading these books was so awesome! Stone was hard to read because of what Raven went through, and Rose, well, so awesome, because they were on the move, and rebelling just by escaping! And another cliffhanger ending! Gah! Can't wait for the last book!

Having the story of Raven in the beginning, again, hard to read! Because 1) we knew it was going to get worse, and b) there was nothing we could do about it! We just knew that Violet had given her the escape serum, and just had to hope that it worked out OK!

Yeah, The White Rose picked up very quickly after the ending of The Jewel, which is really great, seeing that cliffhanger ending with Garnet! So fantastic to read it, and then have all these things happening, there was a lot more action or tension in this book that made it so much better than The Jewel!

So much happened in The White Rose, from learning more about her powers, and the truth about them, and about the Island's history. Oh, and the rebellion that's brewing! And the plan that is hatched! And just so much more! Such a fantastic book! And then that evil, cliffhanger ending! I need more!

Yeah, such a really fantastic series, and I can't wait to see how it's going to end!

Week 40 Review: The Scorpion Rules

My Review:
So, uh, yeah, I stayed up till 2:30 in the morning to read this book, even though I had an 8 o'clock class, meaning I was getting up at 7. And I started this book just around midnight. I hope that says how much I enjoyed this book, how freaking awesome it is!

I absolutely loved this book! So fantastic, so different, so amazing! From Greta, a princess of a superpower, who controlls two thirds of the world's supply of water, knowing that makes it more likely that she won't survive being a prisoner of peace, to everybody else in this book!

Greta's narration was so funny! It's from there that I found my favourite lines of this book, of goats, mostly, but squash also plays a role! She had a dry wit, from who she is, to how she's been raised, and the whole Prisoner of Peace thing.

Talis. An AI that had a whole book of quotes from him, things that did make some sense, but there was a harshness there. Like, that if the country that war was being declared on, if they couldn't find a way to prevent war, then they would lose their child. And it's like, how could the ruler prevent war, and still come out with a country that could support it's citizens. Either Talis should help there because it's complicated, or their prisoner shouldn't be killed. I'm leaning towards the former! 

What happened to Elián's grandmother, what Talis did to her, that was pretty horrible. I'm glad that Greta was able to avoid being around there, but what description that she gave was still pretty horrifying!

Between the love, and the war, these characters had a lot of problems! I enjoyed everything about it, and the difficult choices that were made! And oh, that choice that Greta made in the end, so that Elián could get away, that there weren't anymore consequences of the delcared war! A difficult, and strange choice that Greta made, that makes me wonder where the sequel, the companion book, is going to go! I want to know!

Favourite lines: "Anyone who things goats are less destructive than lions on fire does not know goats well." That certainly is a statement! "On the day goats refuse to eat zucchini, we humans will have to give up all pretense of domination over the agricultural world. The squashes will have won. Just for a moment I could vividly imagine World War Squash." My head doesn't quite get this, but I know it's funny! "Goats-the shapers of history." Love these comments about goats! "If one had not known it was a sexually excited billy goat crashing horn-first into a wood-and-wire gate, one would have thought it was a demon forcing it's way into the world. In fairness, there's not a big different." Yeah, this book is teaching me that!

Such a great, fantastic, wonderful book! So awesome, and I can't wait to see where this series is going to go, I'm so excited for that, and the wait is going to be killer!

My Review:
The first thing I want to say, is that while this book has similarities to Stitching Snow-same author, similar covers, retellings set in a futuristic sci fi/fantasy world, and transportation is a plot point, or more in this book, they aren't companion books. They are both stand alones. So now that you know that, on to everything else!

This book was really fantastic! From the characters, to the world, to the plot, everything about this book was fantastic! I loved her inner thoughts, especially her proposed news articles titles to her actions or what was happening to her. So funny!

I must say, that the idea of a society that can't read because they have technology to make it obsolete almost perfectly reasonable, and scary. It's something that I love to do, and that they decided that it wasn't needed for communication...scary, but also sad.

Then again, the writing system of Tiav's world, was so strange and complicated! Like, it started off like ours, but then there were primary and secondary stages, so "T" was primary, then "i" was secondary, then "a" then "v" I think, but maybe not, because when he was doing that, he was enunciating the syllables. Confusing and complicated!

The ending was a bit confusing-I didn't know that they were at that point, I thought they still had a few more to go, and then things were happening, and it was over, and it was bittersweet, but so good to read! But yeah, just a little bit confusing for me, misreading something there!

Really fantastic book, and yeah, R.C. Lewis is a really fantastic author!

My Review:
This was a really awesome book! I really enjoyed the world, and the details that were slowly given or gathered, that just grew and grew, and in turn affected so much of this book, it was just fantastic to read all of that!

I really enjoyed reading about Mara, because she's been fighting this war, and she's still around, and even has a leadership position. But she's connected to things that are happening, more than she knows, because there's secrecy surrounding her that she pulls back as the book goes on!

Then there's how everything turned out, with the seeds and the Tree, and territories, and the lies told, seeing as there were no Gaishan, that was just made up for the fight. Which is pretty horrible-a lot of kids died fighting this war. But the good guys won in the end!

With that ending, one of hope, of things happening, well, this could bee a stand alone book. But the bad guys as it turned out, weren't taken off the map, so they're still a threat, so yeah, it could go either way!

Really fantastic book! So enjoyable, and I hope you guys check it out!

Week 38 Review: After the Red Rain

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book! It did have flaws that I'll explian, but it was really great to read! Different, and just a little bit scary that the Red Rain-and what that turns out to be-could happen to us. Because we do have a huge population!

So a bit flaw was that some things weren't connected. Like the prologue, and who that man was, didn't connect to the rest of the book, because while Deedra has evidence of it (her scar, the necklace) she doesn't remember.

There was also a lot going on. This was a pretty big book, so it felt like too much going on, and not enough information on what was going on, that the above kinda explains. So yeah, there was that going on.

But enough of the negatives! These were some really awesome characters, and their situation was pretty messed up-like when the guy was interrogating her, and she says plan, and he takes it as the spy meaning, instead of green living stuff, yeah. That was going on.

Just a really enjoyable and great story with a pretty great ending!

These books were really awesome to read! I mean, the robot apocalypse? So awesome, and dark, since the robots killed most of humanity, and is now rounding up survivors and putting them in cities for purposes basically unknown.

This is the story of 3 siblings (well, Cassie is adopted, since her parents were killed so the rest of the group could leave) Nick and Kevin. They aren't always together, but they have the same basic goal-save their parents, which grows into save humanity from the robots!

We did get scenes from robot's perspectives. And they were pretty creepy. Like one scene, a higher up robot was eating-and then spitting it out, since he only had a tongue, he didn't have anything else. Just to figure out taste. Such a waste!

I really enjoyed that ending, it was fought for, and there were losses, and most definitely there were struggles, but at the end of the day, some things are worth fighting for, and this was one of them, so that ending was pretty great!

Really fantastic trilogy, and yeah, I just really enjoyed reading it!
