My Review:
This was a bit of a creepy book. I mean, it takes place in the second stage of life, the one after death. So there's that. And then there's the fact that they get to buy and sell memories to look at (you don't lose them, but other people can view them if you want them to and they can afford it because they let other people view their memories)

And then her friend is gone, no one remembers, and she's thrown into this weird world where everybody is kept all drugged up with no real memories of the place that they're at, but of their life on earth, and other peoples.

I really enjoyed Felicia's memories, as they chronicle her falling in love with Ethan, how she knew Julian in life, and all sorts of other things, just telling the story of her life before she died. And there some good memories, and bad memories, like what happened to her friend, why she got sent to the US.

Because viewing the memories is a drug, and Felicity has to be weaned off of it, that's why we got so many memories. And with the group that she's with, I didn't enjoy most of them, but yeah, things happen-and then she finds Neal. And things happen. And they beat the bad guys. And then her and Neil decide to move onto Level 3.

Yeah, all in all, a really great book, and a really great start to a series!

My Review:
This was an amazing book! I loved this, because yeah, I really enjoyed the romance, they dystopia, and the uniqueness of this book! Though it does have a bit of a bit of a hint of the The Knife of Letting Go, but that was just a faint impression, not with any similarities!

Loved Gray, and Emma, and their relationship, it was really quite wonderful, even if she was supposed to be with his brother and then they were slated to be together. Just because they were supposed to be together, didn't mean that they should care for each other, but they did, so yeah!

I loved this world, even if it had some major problems, like the Heist, and all the secrets that the Council leaders are keeping, well, they're pretty explosive, and dangerous, like any secret, it seems, that the leaders of a group of people seem to have.

The villain, he was like, pure evil, what he did to everybody, yeah, that was just not very nice, and yeah, I want to have more time with him, to learn a bit more about his motivations, why he did what he did, and to have time for the group to beat him!

Loved this book, and yeah, I can't wait to read more of this series!

Week 1 Review: Starglass

My Review:
I loved this book! Such an awesome book! I absolutely loved reading about Terra, the world aboard the Asherah, and yeah, it reminded me of Glow, which was one of my most favourite of books, and that was a good sign to come of this book!

While this didn't get to quite the level of Glow, it did become a favourite book, because yeah, it was just freaking good! I loved how Terra had to deal with what she she witnessed, and yeah, this world definitely was flawed, had it a lot of things wrong with it, and yeah, that's why there's a rebellion for Terra to maybe join!

I loved the characters in this book! I mean, they were really well developed, from her friend Rachel, to Koen and Van, they had depth, they do some good things, they did some bad things, but all in all, they were really quite great characters to read about!

The ending! It worked well with the rest of the book, it kinda broke my heart, but there's going to be a sequel to fix it, and I really can't wait for that, new places to see, potential new characters to meet, and yeah, just that awesomeness to happen soon!

I really enjoyed this book, and I really can't wait to read Starbreak!

Week 1 Review: All Our Yesterdays

My Review:
Oh, what a great book! At first, there's 2 characters, Marina, and Em, and and as you read this book, you realize something-that they're the same person, just from different times, Marina, the now, and Em, the future, and what a horrible future it is!

I loved the back and forth, as we slowly got details that meshed these 2 worlds together, until it was just 1, and seeing different sides to it, seeing it as it is, and seeing how it could, if they don't do anything, turn out after this. And yeah, that was just pretty epic!

I love the mystery for Marina, on who's trying to kill James, while we know that it's Em/future Marina, and Future Finn, while present Marina and present Finn are trying to protect them, and how yeah, Marina falls out of love with James, and in love with Finn, it was nice, sweet, and natural!

And the ending? It was so sad, and that's why I'm so glad that there's going to be a second book, because I want more of this world, and I want these characters to have a happier ending, because the one they currently have, only about half as happy as it should be!

This was such a great book, I don't know what it took me so long to read it, it was just absolutely incredible! Can't wait for the sequel!

Week 1 Review: Plus One

My Review:
Oh, wow, I really enjoyed this book! It got my blood pumping, the injustices in this book, that they were forced to live in a time, day or night, and then what we discover? It was so great, and it's a bit of a mystery thriller, in a YA Dystopia, so yeah, it's a pretty intense book!!!

I loved to hate this world, because it was pretty detailed, and I think dealt with issues such as segregation, and how one side had more power then the other, that when the night leader is going to tell the truth discovered in this book, she's going to lose her power, and yeah, that's not too good!

This romance was sweet, and developed in a pretty intense situation-she kidnapped her nephew, so her great-grandfather could see him, and that causes a lot of problems, including dealing with the doctor-in-training, Ray, and falling in love with him, and his world, because while he and his mom are Rays, his dad is a Smudge. So there was that!

There were a lot of betrayals, double crossings, and surprise twists that really kept the action going, propelling the characters to new heights, and yeah, that it ended on a note where I want more of this world, and to see how it's going, because that was quite an ending!

I really enjoyed this book, it was really great, and yeah, I hope for a sequel!

Week 52 Review: Tumble & Fall

My Review:
The initial description of this book, was like a book YA version of that one movie with Kiera Knightly, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is what I believe it's called, where the world's ending, and the 2 characters go on a road trip to go somewhere (I've only seen the trailer) and this was a bit like that, on outward appearances. But it was more then that.

Sierra, Zan, and Caden, 3 teens on an island, and while their stories don't really connect, their 3 teens who's world is ending before it really began, and things happen, and they're preoccupied with everyone's impending death, and their own issues, and they have expectations pushed on them by adults, and you'd think that people would try and make the last days as happy as can be. Unfortunately, we're only human, and we can't seem to do that!

These were really interesting characters, like Sierra, who before the news of the asteroid hit, was in a mental hospital, but because of it, was pulled out by her dad, so it could be their whole family. Then there's Zan, who's boyfriend died, and she's in mourning, but then she's told something about him that she doesn't like. And then there was Caden, and words can't describe his journey in this book!

While lots of people had complaints about this book, that are valid, that if there'd only been 1 POV character, the story could've been explored more, or how the opening was pretty open ended, yeah, they are not as attractive in the book. But it was still good!

I enjoyed this book, it was good, and entertaining!

Week 52 Review: When We Wake

My Review:
This book was very different from The Shattering. First off, it's more sci fi, then supernatural, what with the dead body being frozen for 100 years and then being brought back to life, and all. And things are science based and such in this book!

While the authors views on the current issues were very strong in this book, that the bad guys had the bad views, and weren't really 3-D characters, the good guys who had the good views were, and yeah, while I agreed with most of the views, if all, it wasn't the best writing choice, having things pushed down my throat.

I really liked how technology had advanced (but only because it need to, to combat rising damaging environmental things) and not because they cared about the world, but if they didn't, then life on Earth pretty much would be wiped out.

The ending was cliff hanger-y, and I really want to know what's going to happen next, because while this was a good book, I hate the not knowing, it's going to gnaw at my brain at all these random times until I read the sequel, so I have to!

This was a good book, and while I didn't like some decisions that were made in this book, it was good!

My Review:
Oh, wow, did I really enjoy these books! I mean, we get to see things from Ben's POV, and how he first noticed her, and yeah, then there was Unbreakable, which was extremely dark, because dealing with the whole, world almost ended, thing.

I really enjoyed being in Ben's POV, because he is learning about travelling between the universes, but he doesn't have that mystery about it, that Janelle had in Unravelling. So yeah, there was that, and then we got the story that was between the full length books, and oh, loved it so much!

Unbreakable was a heart breaker. I mean, they're in love, from different universes so they can't be together, and yeah, now he's being accused of being a human trafficker, I think that's #4 worst crimes that isn't a genocide, because that's just a whole other level of evil (murder, child abuse, and rape are the first 3) and how she has to work to find the actual guilty party, yeah, that's not a great situation to be in!

I loved the science fiction elements in this book, as well as the mystery ones, there were a ton of red herrings, and then subtle clues that are the opposite of red herrings, that led to the conclusion, and yeah, I'd love to know how they numbered the universes!

These were spectacular books, I really enjoyed this duology, and I'll have to check out what Elizabeth Norris writes next!

Week 52 Review: Once We Were

My Review:
This book was darker then the first one. Because they survived, both Eva and Addie, and their eyes have been opened up to the world, seeing it more like it is, then how they want it to be, they were seeing things that are worse then they were used to, and that's saying something, seeing as most people wants one of them gone.

And yeah, things aren't helped that since they only have one body, that means only one of them can be in control of it at one time, and they are 2 different souls, so they want different things, they think different thoughts, and yeah, there's some definite clashing between these 2 girls.

I really enjoyed the romance, because Eva deserved something of her own, after being the one that was supposed to have faded, but yeah, they needed to work things out so that it was as fair as it could be, and yeah, nobody actually wants things to be fair, they want more then their fair share.

Also, the government isn't too happy that they a) escaped and b) are actively resisting said government, so they have that to face, as well as people who don't want people to have 2 souls in one body, and then there are those that are a little bit to fanatical in wanting it.

This was a really fantastic book, and I can't wait for the last book!

Week 52 Review: Altered

My Review:
This was an amazing book! I absolutely loved it, and it was just a great sequel, with the world building beyond what it was, because now that Adelice out of the whole world that she's known her entire life, well, things are different now!

We had hints of Earth in Crewel, not much, but basically that it was destroyed. And while it was heavily damaged by Arras, it is in the process of rebuilding, and in times of turmoil, people turn to those that seem to have the loudest voices. Here, it's Kincade, who is someone to worry about, his actions and his intentions.

I liked the love triangle between Adelice and the brothers in Crewel, and it was a bigger point in this book, seeing as they're all together, now, in a new world, and not her interacting with one brother, and then the other, yeah, their dynamic is shifting, and we learn more about each of the members of the triangle in this book!

I loved the science that we learned that was behind the spinsters powers, Adelice's powers, because it was pretty cool, and ties into a pretty important personal plot point of Adelice that she discovers, because yeah, this book had a lot of discoveries!

This was an amazing book, and I can't wait to read Unravled!

Week 52 Review: Revelations

My Review:
This was a pretty amazing book. And it was different from the first book, because she's lost her memory, and she's not trapped down in Elysium. Which with her memory problems, isn't a good thing, because even though it's a "clean slate" well, she left for a really great reason!

Can I say, I just really love this cover? So beautiful, and pretty, and I just want to live in it's sky, because yeah, it's so awesome, and such eye candy colours, I love these kind of skies, those are the ones that are beautiful to me-I don't find people that way. Just things like this. And I love how she's holding a rose in one hand similar to the cover for the last book, but also in the other hand, sun glasses, which is a surface item, a symbol of her new life!

I really enjoyed the surface-Renegade was Evie's world of Elysium, but the surface is Gavin's, and yeah, now it's his turn to be showing her around, helping her adjust, and those little nuggets of information that make up a community, yeah, that's just great!

I absolutely loved the action in this book, action that was plenty now in both books, and how yeah, you'd think that things would be different, except that they brought some problems with them, things that need to be solved, and to some people, that means violent, which means action!

Absolutely loved this book, and I can't wait to read the last book!

Week 52 Review: Rebel Heart

My Review:
I took a while to getting around to reading this book. I don't know why-well, I do, it's because there's so many fantastic books out there to read-because I really enjoyed Blood Red Road. So yeah, I got to this book, and it was just so freaking good! I utterly enjoyed it, and now I really want that 3rd book now!

Things have changed, and things are growing, since that final battle, and yeah, they find that just because Tonton is gone, doesn't mean that he can't be replaced by a bigger, and badder, threat, which is just what happens, and what do you expect? The book would be boring if there wasn't any conflict, and in this genre, in this series, a major source of conflict is fighting the bad guy(s)!

I loved everything that we learned in this book, because even as some of it was breaking my heart, some of it was very useful in their quest to find something better, or at least, a step in the right direction. One thing that I didn't really like, was that Jack was hardly in this book. But oh, well.

I really enjoyed the fact that hey, these are real people, they can make bad decisions, like Jack becoming a Tonton, or Saba sleeping with DeMalo, that was another thing that I didn't like to much, but I might give him a chance to beat out Jack. A chance. A small one.

All in all, I really want Raging Star, now, because I want to know how this is all going to end!
