OK, so I got 62 posts in 7 days, and it was a nice relaxing week, but alas, today, I'm back at work. But I read some great books, Jax is doing better, it turned out to be his anal gland, so it was able to be taken care of and he's been healing nicely which is great. What about you guys?  My first review of Beastly, Bewitched
My Review:
I had such a great time reading this series! I enjoyed the two books that I'd previously read, but I hadn't read most of them before, so it was great to read all of them back to back to back! To see all these things that Kendra's put into motion, yeah, I had a great time reading them! 

Beastly, and Lindy's Diary, while a part of Kendra's Chronicles and affected by her, aren't narrated by her, because it isn't really her story, it's theirs. But watching them fall in love was really entertaining to do again, watching him work on his bad traits.

Kendra's habit of dipping into and out of stories, these modern day retellings, was really fascinating to me, the roles that she played. She had her own story going on, but it wasn't always the focus. Like in Mirrored, it's her apprentice who plays the role of wicked Queen. So that was an interesting take on the story.

But Behold, yeah, that was such a great read! I can totally understand why being immortal would be lonely, and I was rooting for her and James, and the tales that she encountered along the way were just and added boost of entertainment, and so enjoyable to read! 

These were fantastic reads and I can't wait to read more by Alex Flinn!

24 Books to Read in 2024 Update 3

So I read my next book for the 24 Books to Read in 2024 Challenge! 

So I read Beheld by Alex Flinn from the Edelweiss list and 16thingsithoughtweretrue by Janet Gurtler from the NetGalley list!

But to recap, I wanted to do a version of These Books Will Self Destruct in 12 months without the self destruct. I wanted to read books that I've had for a while, that I really needed to get read, but maybe I forgot about them or that I had them. So I made 2 lists, one for each way I have them, as physical books, and as ARC's, half from NetGalley, and half from Edelweiss.

Will the Time Come #410, April 11th

Every Thursday I am going to list a book which I really want to read/keep meaning to get to. These are mostly books which have been on my shelf for awhile now but don't have to be, maybe you got it two weeks ago and really want to read it! Thanks to Jodie from Books for Company for this meme!

High in my tower I sit. I watch the birds fly below, the clouds float above, and the tall green forest stretch to places I might never see. 

 Mama, who isn't my mother, has kept me hidden away for many years. My only companions, besides Mama, are my books—great adventures, mysteries, and romances that I long to make my reality. But I know that no one will come to save me—my life is not a fairy tale after all.

 Well, at least no one has come so far. Recently, my hair has started to grow rapidly and it's now long enough to reach the bottom of the tower from my window. I've also had the strangest dreams of a beautiful green-eyed man. 

 When Mama isn't around, I plan my escape, even if it's just for a little while. There's something—maybe someone—waiting for me out there and it won't find me if I'm trapped here Towering above it all. 

Why the time hasn't come yet...
I don't know, I haven't read all the series, and it's been awhile since I read the first books in the series, so I'd have to reread those, first. Hopefully soon. WHat about you guys? Happyr eading!
